VIC-WIDE CASTING CALL // People who have frozen their eggs out of medical necessity, and currently questioning whether or not to use them.
We’re so thrilled and moved to be able to put this casting call-out across Victoria, for an upcoming documentary, focusing on egg-freezing.
Looking for people aged 25-45yrs, of all backgrounds, who have already undergone the process of egg-freezing, due to a medical necessity. Open to all communities, q***r, LGBTQIA+, straight, all abilities + disabilities, ethnicities, willing to share their story about their journey and their current questioning/decision phase of use.
They can be from anywhere in Victoria. They can be married, partnered or single.
The documentary explores how a single scientific breakthrough continues transforming individual lives decades later. It follows three people, two of whom are already cast.
Applicants must be:
• Willing to be filmed over a 6-12 month (minimum) period; 1-2 days at a time TBC.
• Open to vulnerable storytelling + emotionally prepared
• Currently grappling with the decision of egg use (not retrospectively)
• Comfortable with filming in the home and other areas as mutually agreed
Please note there will be no fee paid to the confirmed individual, as per documentary standards; It is against protocol to be remunerated for your participation, as it deemed unethical, to maintain impartiality and authenticity. We’re really seeking people who know how much their story will contribute and help others.
📍 Shoot: TBC schedule, filming/timings will be worked out with the individual, once casting is complete.
