Hot tip: stock up on mini eggs before Easter and when on sale*. They always sell out close to Easter and I can never find them.

*the price of chocolate and Easter eggs has gone crazy, I remember when $4.50 was full price and it wasn’t that long ago.

Delicious dinner 🇮🇹
It felt like we’d travelled straight to an Italian family home for the night and Vince was making us dinner.

If you didn’t already know Ardor is open in Coburg North for Friday & Saturday lunches and Friday dinners. They have a new 100% gluten free menu every week with two different pasta sauces & a dessert, they post it to Instagram a few days before. We will definitely be back soon (maybe when the tiramisu is back on the menu!). 😍

Has anyone tried these lollies?
I saw a tiktok review of them from someone travelling then realised they sell them in Kmart, Big W and Coles in Australia. And they’re tested to be gluten free.

When looking online I noticed that Kmart have rebranded lots of their lollies and luckily most like the range such as red raspberries, sour worms, strawberries and cream, mint leaves, fruit rings, jelly babies and party mix are still gluten free. And they’re $1.00 for 110g so cheaper than most.

A delicious lunch 🍷

We did the feed me menu for $89 per person and it was easily adapted to gluten free. The food is Indian inspired & modern. I discovered them thanks to 💕.

They can cater to other dietaries including vego and vegan. They do gluten free really well as they have a daughter who has coeliac disease. We will definitely be back.

NEW choc coconut slice from perfect for sharing has now hit Coles 😍

It only used to come in mini size, so it’s exciting you can now buy this to share with friends. It’s also plant based so any vegan friends can enjoy it too. Perfect for my work where there are gluten free and vegan dietaries 🌿.

It’s definitely my favourite flavour of the minis, so I’m glad they made this the first sharing tray option. I love the slight crunch it has, from the ‘choc chips’ that they list as choc soy crisps) in the ingredients.

Allergy info: contains soy. May contain peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, sesame.

📍Find it in the bakery section at Coles 🩷

I was this to try. But knowing I already like the flavour I was happy to share it.

New for Easter this year at Woolies.

Personally not a massive white chocolate fan (unless it’s top deck) but I’m sure these will have a few fans. But if someone gave me one I’d never say no to chocolate 😅.

Joining the 2016 trend ✨
The year I went to Italy, Spain & France by myself and found some delicious gluten free food. A highlight was meeting up with fellow instagrammer for a gluten free tour of Paris. And my parents surprising me with an upgrade to business class on my way home. Probably my first and only time for a while. But I was too nervous to eat the bread on the plane (as it looked to good to be gf!). I had thought I was flying economy until I got to the airport so had packed lots of snacks.
A couple of my staple gluten free cafes - Red Robyn in Camberwell & Foddies in Albert Park which no longer exist! They were so good.
And my first gluten free jam donuts 🍩
Plus lots of time for baking, I didn’t realise how good I had it as a uni student! I was an expert procrastination baker. And decorating açai bowls 😅.
I had started my Instagram in 2015 and loved taking photos of food. Including avocado roses. My photo album is filled with photos of food 😅. Probably why my storage is so full! I remember deliberating for so long on which photo to post, I felt like it had to be perfect.
Plus remembering my gorgeous Neddy 🐶🥺.

Tell me what are your gluten free food highlights of 2016?

If you’re looking for some yummy & quick gluten free Xmas dessert inspiration I’ve got two for you. 🎄

First is the gluten free sweet pastry shells from Kitchen Warehouse (I found mine at the Preston location). I coated the inside in a thin layer of dark chocolate to prevent it from getting soggy. Blitzed some pistachios, orange zest and maple syrup together, popped that in the shell as the base and then some added some chocolate mousse from Woolies on top and a dusting of cocoa. Delicious!

The second is the amazing Eton Mess made by my MIL. A recipe from Coles and absolutely delicious with cream, custard, soaked fruit and meringue. A show stopper! 🤤

A third honourable mention but not pictured as I didn’t get a nice photo was my ginger ripple cake. I used the gluten Leda ginger nut biscuits in place of choc ripple biscuits and it went down a treat. 🩷

New products I’ve spotted recently. Find out where in captions.

Did I miss the new noodle flavour? Sickness has been going through our house since last weekend, so it’s been a looong week but hopefully this weekend we’re all feeling better. And all I’ve felt like eating is a noodle cup 😂.
