The Health Risks & Hidden Costs of Dieting🌿
Why “quick fixes” often cost more than we realise.

Most women don’t start a diet to punish themselves they do it because they want to feel better, healthier, lighter, or more in control. But the truth is diets come with real risks that are rarely spoken about.

Here’s what most diets actually do behind the scenes:

✨ Slow down your metabolism.

When you constantly restrict, your body adapts by burning fewer calories. This makes long-term weight maintenance MUCH harder.

✨ Increase cravings & binge-eating urges.

Restriction leads to obsession. Your brain simply wants to protect you so it drives you toward the foods you’re avoiding.

✨ Create hormonal upheaval

Low-calorie diets can disrupt your stress hormones, sleep, mood, and appetite signals.

✨ Damage your relationship with food.

You start to fear certain foods, label them as “good” or “bad,” and lose connection to your body’s natural cues.

✨ Chip away at your confidence.

Every diet you “fail” (that was never designed to work long-term anyway) reinforces self-doubt and shame.

✨ Steal your time, money & mental energy.

Constant tracking, weighing, starting again on Monday, it becomes a full-time job with no real return.

💛 Here’s the truth:

It’s not you that’s failed, it’s the dieting system that has failed you.

Real wellness isn’t found in restriction.

It’s found in nourishment, balance, and reconnecting with your body with compassion.

If you’re ready to break free from the dieting cycle and build a healthier, calmer relationship with food my private Women’s Wellness Group is where that transformation begins.

Let's talk self-esteem, body image and movement. 🏃‍♀️‍➡️

In a world that’s constantly telling women how we should look, it’s easy for our confidence to take a hit. But here’s the truth I wish more women knew:

Movement isn’t just about shaping your body.
it’s about strengthening your mind, lifting your energy, and reconnecting with yourself. ✨🙏

When we move regularly, amazing things happen:
• Our mood shifts
• Anxiety softens
• Energy rises
• Muscles strengthen
• Our bodies feel more supported and alive

And one of the biggest confidence boosters?
Creating a movement routine that feels good and actually sticking to it.
That sense of follow through builds trust within yourself and that is powerful. 🤍

Move because it nourishes you.
Move because it grounds you.
Move because it reminds you of your strength.

✨ A Beautiful Reminder From the Weekend ✨

Over the weekend, I spent time with a group of beautiful women during a movement class and meditation I facilitated and honestly, the experience left such an imprint on my heart ♥️

As we moved, breathed, and grounded together, I watched each woman soften, reconnect, and truly be present with herself. But the most powerful part came afterwards, when we sat and spoke.

I realised that all I wanted to do was listen and all they wanted was to be heard and seen.
No fixing.
No rushing.
Just presence.

It reminded me how deeply we all crave that simple, human connection a space where we can land, exhale, and feel supported.

This weekend taught me something special:
🌿 Listening is one of the greatest gifts we can offer.
🌿 Being heard and seen is one of the greatest gifts we can receive.

I’m so grateful for these women, for the moments shared, and for the lessons that keep guiding me in this work. 💗

If you’re wanting a space where you feel supported, grounded and part of a beautiful community of women, I’d love to welcome you into my private Women’s group.

Diet culture teaches women to fear food, restrict themselves, and feel guilty for simply eating. It disconnects you from your body and makes you believe you’re the problem when you’re not.

I help women break free from the cycle of dieting and finally build a healthy, confident relationship with food.

Together we focus on nourishment, balance, self-trust, and eating in a way that feels good not punishing.

If you’re ready for support, education, and a community of like-minded women.

✨ Join my Women’s Wellness Group a safe space to learn, grow, and feel empowered in your health journey.

You don’t have to do this alone. 🤍✨

🍫 The Truth About Cravings (It’s Not What You Think)

We’ve all heard the claim: “If you’re craving chocolate, you must need magnesium.”
Sounds nice… but science says it’s not that simple.

Most cravings are not your body’s way of signalling a nutrient deficiency, they’re more often tied to habits, emotions, restrictions, or simple pleasure.

When we label certain foods as “off-limits,” our brain starts to want them more. This builds an unhealthy push–pull relationship with eating which can turn one bite into a binge.

Instead, try this:
✔ Allow yourself to enjoy the foods you’ve been avoiding for years, yes, even chocolate or chips.
✔ Remind yourself that it’s okay to have them occasionally, you’re in charge.
✔ Over time, your brain learns there’s no emergency to “get it all in now,” and the cravings naturally calm down.

Cravings aren’t the enemy. Restriction is.
Food freedom starts when you stop fighting with your plate.

The Power of Yet 💡✨

“I can’t stick to healthy eating… yet.”
“I don’t enjoy exercise… yet.”

That tiny word tells your brain change is possible. 🧠

Neuroscience calls it neuroplasticity your brain’s ability to rewire and grow. Every small choice in your health and nutrition builds new pathways.

It’s not never. It’s not yet. 🌱

When was the last time you had a mental health day? 🌿

Not because you’ve earned it.
Not because you’ve ticked everything off.
But because your mind needs it.

We don’t talk about this enough.
The power of giving yourself a pause.
Some days the to-do list is long, but your brain just can’t.

And we still try to push through thinking productivity equals worth.

But what if taking a mental health day wasn’t something to feel guilty about
but something to feel proud of?

Because resting IS productive.
Because burnout isn’t the goal.
Because if you’re always the last on your own list you’re not practising self-care you’re erasing yourself.

Give yourself permission to:
-Take the day.
-Stay in bed.
-Go for a slow walk with no destination.
-Turn off the noise.
Just be ❤️

Your worth isn’t in how much you do.
It’s in who you are even when you’re doing nothing at all.

Have you scheduled a mental health day recently? If not, maybe this is your sign.

If you’ve ever felt like you just can’t stick to healthy habits, you’re not alone.

We’re often told that we just need more discipline or willpower but that’s not the full story.

Lasting behaviour change doesn’t come from pushing harder.

It comes from making things easier, more natural, and more aligned with your life.

Here’s what actually helps your habits stick:

✨ Make it doable.
Start small. Think: “How can I make this feel achievable on my worst day?”

✨ Pair it with something you already do.
Attach your new habit to an existing one (like stretching after brushing your teeth or journaling after your morning coffee).

✨ Be kind to yourself.
You don’t need to be perfect to be consistent. Progress over pressure.

✨ Create an environment that supports you.
Keep the water bottle in sight. Put the runners by the door. Choose foods that nourish and comfort.

✨ Celebrate the tiny wins.
Every step counts. Even a 5-minute walk or saying no to something that doesn’t serve you that’s a shift.

Because when it comes to real change, it’s not about pushing
It’s about building a life that naturally supports your health.

💗 Let it be simple. Let it be sustainable. Let it feel like you.

🌿 You don’t need to start from scratch.
You can build on what’s already there.

If you’re already taking your dog for a walk each day, that’s a habit.

If you’re already brewing your morning cuppa in quiet, that’s a habit.

If you’re taking five deep breaths when things feel too much that counts too.

We often think change has to be big, new, or “perfect” to make an impact.

But real, lasting change is built on what you’re already doing well then adding gently from there.

✨ Take your daily dog walk? Try stretching for 2 minutes after.
✨ Already drink water in the morning? Add a deep breath of intention with it.
✨ Already cook dinner? Use it as a moment to slow down and nourish not rush.

It doesn’t have to be hard. It just has to be yours.

💗 Start small.
💗 Keep it kind.
💗 Let it grow.

What’s one little habit you’re already doing that you could build on this week?

Feeling flat, achy, or constantly craving sugar or salt? 😩🍫🍟

You’re not alone these are whispers (or sometimes shouts!) from your body that your adrenal system might need a little TLC.

Lately, I’ve been chatting with more and more women who are feeling drained, foggy, and wondering why their energy has just disappeared.

👉 The truth? Adrenal fatigue often creeps in when we’re juggling too much, running on stress, and ignoring the subtle signs.

That constant tiredness, body soreness, or those 3pm snack attacks aren’t just “bad habits” they’re signals.

I go deeper into this in my “Hormone Disruptors” session inside the Wellness From Within program.

We explore how lifestyle, food, stress, and even sneaky everyday chemicals affect your hormones and what you can do to support your body naturally.

✨ When you understand your hormones, you can start working with your body instead of fighting against it.

If you’re ready to start feeling better, boost your energy, and take your power back it starts here:

Developing a positive and non-judgmental attitude toward your food and your body is one of the most powerful things you can do for your overall well-being.

Your body is not the enemy. Food is not the enemy.

Every bite, every choice, every curve tells a story of resilience, growth, and care.

Let go of guilt. Let go of shame.
You deserve to feel at peace in your body and it begins with compassion.

✨ Be kind to yourself today. Your wellness journey starts with how you speak to YOU.

It’s absolutely okay to enjoy indulgent foods occasionally 🍫🍷

In fact, allowing yourself to enjoy treats in moderation is a key part of building a healthy, balanced relationship with food. When we stop labelling foods as “good” or “bad,” we take away the guilt and emotional rollercoaster around eating.

Incorporating the foods you love mindfully and without restriction can actually help prevent bingeing, cravings, and that all-too-familiar feeling of deprivation. Nourishment isn’t about perfection, it’s about flexibility, enjoyment, and listening to what your body truly needs.

Food is not just fuel it’s also comfort, connection, and celebration. Let’s learn to enjoy it all, with love and intention 💕
