This week is National Carers Week. A time to acknowledge and recognise the incredible and valuable contribution over 2.8 million Australians make to support their loved ones. Thank you đź’™
Helping out or caring for someone who has a mental health condition can be rewarding – but often challenging. Carers need to stay strong and reliable, not only for the person they're looking after, but also for themselves. However, the constant, and sometimes overwhelming nature of being a carer can put a person’s wellbeing at risk. If you're living with, or caring for, someone who is experiencing depression or anxiety, it’s important that you’re also looking after yourself.
