From July 2025 the federal government's Support at Home program will fund "Therapeutic services for independent living" by remedial massage therapists "to manage ... physical wellbeing in support of the older person remaining safe and independent at home"
The “independence” category may require a co-contribution for some participants (as opposed to Clinical Support which is fully funded)
The client's care plan is managed by their case manager
The CM meets with the client to determine what their care needs are and how they can be best met
They are generally assessed by a physio during this process who documents the need for RM in the care plan
Alternatively, the client can request the service

I just re-read this in an article published in 2003.

Bell’s Palsy (Facial Palsy)- is a form of temporary facial paralysis resulting from damage or trauma to the facial nerves. The facial nerve-also called the 7th cranial nerve-travels through a narrow, bony canal (called the Fallopian canal) in the skull, beneath the ear, to the muscles on each side of the face.
Signs and Symptoms
• Paralysis of facial muscles
• Inflammation of seventh cranial nerve
• Usually one sided and temporary
• Often develops suddenly
• Often spontaneous recovery
