SORRY DAY. I feel sorry for the inhumane treatment of First Nations People. The settler perpetrated massacres are deeply, deeply disturbing events. The stolen generations, the loss of people’s years to incarceration, and various other cruelties are the harmful impacts of prejudice and ignorance. The loss of The Voice referendum in 2023 felt like a huge missed opportunity to move forwards in ways.

Now and into the future, I wish good things for all First People! The Yoorrook Truth Commission is close to sharing a final report that can play a significant role in the healing.

Today I feel a very deep sense of shock and despair.
For me this looks like a victory for callousness over kindness
People who are animated by resentment, who have become conditioned to think that life is about competing against other groups — these people have out-numbered those of us who put more importance upon Nature and wellbeing.

Raw, vulnerable, healing, powerful.

I just saw ‘Left Write Hook’, a new Australian documentary that’s screening over the next week.

8 people who are survivors of sexual abuse enter a program to resolve some of the trauma they carry in their bodies.

The program involves journaling and boxing.

They’re encouraged to ground their anger as they punch the s**t out of things.

They’re also encouraged to feel deep presence with the pain as it resurfaces. And to write, and speak about this pain.

A lot of trust is established within the group where each person is fully respected, in any emotional space.

For me as someone dedicated to authentic healing – to discerning things really work – I am blown away by this program. I was teary with sadness and cried with inspiration.

The documentary is only booked for a limited run, so I can wholeheartedly recommend finding a screening near you asap!

It seems trite to give this a rating, but I would definitely say: 5/5

And it was FUN as! 😁

I had a beautiful experience this week. I closely watch the developments in US politics. (Perhaps too closely). But I’m pretty sure the outcome of the next election could impact upon a lot of people Worldwide.

This week the Democratic Party had their big Convention. 4 days of speeches, music and proceedings from a huge range of people. Union rep Shawn Fain and Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett both delivered mega-fiery addresses. The Obama’s, Gov. Tim Walz and the Presidential nominee herself - Kamala Harris - delivered deeply inspiring and far-reaching speeches.

I was tearing up at times and crying quite a few times. I was mostly crying with how inspiring it is to hear people speak boldly from the depths of human kindness. I was also impacted by how powerful and cut-through these words of hope can be. And at other times I was whooping with delight, at some of the more edgy, cut-through remarks.

I am so thankful there are people with integrity in politics. I am so, so, so, SO keen to watch Kamala beating that orange menace in November.

May there be peace and sovereignty in Palestine. May there be human rights and freedoms across the USA. May there be less people being strangled by dictatorships and more human rights being respected World-wide.

You are welcome to join in a Wonderfeel Ritual for Rememberance. Tapping into the bittersweet memories we still hold for anyone we have lost.

Two people close to the band ‘Mantis and the Prayer’ have passed. We will honour them, and anyone present is welcome to honour the ones they have lost….

There will be a bowl of spring water, where you can add the name of someone dear to you. Tomorrow the water will be poured into the all-welcoming ocean.
