Good afternoon everyone,
Thank you all for being part of the Pink Ribbon Breast Cancer Awareness Fundraiser Lunch held on 31st October, organised by Western Health & Care Services in collaboration with SLV Ballarat. 💗
Although our special guest and beautiful survivor of this cause could not attend on the day, her courage continues to inspire this movement. This awareness means so much to me personally — my own family member, My Aunt, faced breast cancer with tremendous strength. Her story opened my eyes to how often, as women, we ignore our own health while caring for others.
As a Health Promotion Officer and NDIS provider, I witness every day how important it is to care for both physical and emotional wellbeing. Through our NDIS services at Western Health & Care Services, we support many individuals — women and men — who face long-term health conditions, mobility challenges, and emotional distress. Their stories make it clear: health neglect and late diagnosis can change a person’s entire life.
That’s why we wanted to use our platform not just for disability support but to create awareness for preventive health and early detection — because empowerment begins with education. This lunch was not just an event, but a message to every family: check in, support, and prioritise your health — it’s a shared responsibility between husbands, sons, fathers, and the women they love.
This event wouldn’t have been possible without the motivation and encouragement of my partner in every step of life, Pradeep Tiwari - Maribyrnong City Mayor , who is also the CEO and Co-Founder of Western Health & Care Services. His constant belief in community work, his moral and financial support, and his confidence in me gave me the courage to organise this meaningful cause.
I’m sincerely thankful to our venue sponsors — Plumpton Farmers Fresh, Rubicon Real Estate, and Tarlochan Singh (Sip n Style) — who generously sponsored this special cause.
My heartfelt gratitude also goes to all our special guests — Target Post, Chander Sharma, Brahman Sabha Australia, Cr John Verdon Ashleigh Vandenberg For Jackwood Ward Cr Preet Singh - Wyndham City Council Chander Sharma, and every friend and supporter who came forward to stand with us. 🌸
We are proud to share that together, we raised funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation, supporting research and awareness programs that save lives every day.
And finally, a special thank you to my little one, Jaydeep Singh, for being so patient and bringing joy to everyone with his adorable presence that day. 💖
Together, we’ve taken a step toward spreading awareness, love, and hope — reminding everyone that early detection saves lives.
Thank you once again to everyone who made 31st October a memorable and meaningful day. 🙏✨
