As extreme heat and catastrophic bushfire conditions impact Victoria and parts of south-eastern Australia, our thoughts are with everyone affected.

This time of year can be especially challenging for people with disability, older Australians, carers and families who rely on consistent supports. Safety must always come first.

We encourage everyone to:
✔️ Stay informed through official emergency alerts
✔️ Review personal and household emergency plans
✔️ Check in on neighbours, family members and participants who may need extra support
✔️ Act early if conditions change, don’t wait

To our firefighters, emergency service workers and volunteers, thank you for everything you do to keep our communities safe in incredibly difficult conditions.
