Last week, we had Billy, a 15-week-old Kelpie, in for the removal of his deciduous (baby) teeth. He recovered quickly and was back to his playful self in no time! To keep him entertained while he waited for discharge, we gave him one of our favourite enrichment tools—a Kong filled with tasty treats.

Providing enrichment like this is just one of the many ways we ensure our patients, whether cat or dog, young or old, have a positive and stress-free experience during their stay. We’re committed to making every visit as comfortable and enjoyable as possible!

BERANSA | There have been some articles in the media recently reporting possible side effects from the arthritis treatment Beransa. With any new medication there can always be some uncertainty.
At MVH we have administered Beransa over 1000 times, with minimal side effects.

In older patients (where Beransa is most recommended), it can be difficult to determine what is a side effect and what is a co-morbidity as our geriatric population often have other issues.
We often find that an injection like Beransa can be the difference between living a pain free life, or struggling with crippling arthritis.

We only recommend medications such as Beransa if we feel that they are a benefit to your pet. We will always discuss potential side effects with you, and tailor a plan that suits you and your dog.

If you have any questions or concerns please discuss them with your veterinarian on your next visit.

We had the sweetest visitor over the weekend—little Sophie, an 8-week-old golden retriever! She totally made our day with her puppy cuddles🥰

Right now, she still fits perfectly in our laps, but we can’t wait to watch her grow. She did such a great job at her appointment and definitely loved all the treats!💙
