The answer is yes - absolutely. Tattoo ink only lives in the very top layer of skin, while dry needling targets the muscles beneath it. So, whether you're covered in ink or just sporting a small design, we can still release those trigger points and reduce tension safely and effectively.

We're excited to welcome Naly Mao to the Touch Point Massage team! Naly joins us as a trainee therapist — a first for Touch Point, making this a particularly special addition to our team.

Combining study with practical experience, Naly will spend one day a week at ACFB Massage School and another training with us at Touch Point Richmond. She’ll be developing her skills in traditional body massage while gaining hands-on experience in a professional clinic — assisting with bookings, greeting clients, and learning what it’s like to work as a massage therapist.

She excels in hot stones therapy and therapeutic massage, modalities she has carried out in previous jobs in a beauty /spa environment. We’re thrilled to have Naly on board and look forward to supporting her on this exciting career journey.

Relaxation massage is back on the treatment menu this week, including a new hot stones massage we are trialing as well as a nurturing light-to-medium therapeutic option. Book online in the usual way but this time seek out the modality "Therapeutic Massage" once you click through to Richmond, Geelong or Brunswick East. Note: The Hot Stones treatment will only be offered in the Richmond studio. With more therapeutic options coming - plus our new trainee Naly starting on Wednesday - Boris the pug won't be attending as much from now on. Apologies Boris!

We're returning to our roots with a new Certificate IV apprentice joining our team soon! As part of our updated treatment menu, we're introducing a 30-minute EXPRESS massage—perfect for relaxation, therapeutic relief, or what’s traditionally known as Swedish massage. Just $65.00 instead of $75.00; one of our three new specials we're preparing for 2026.

A therapeutic massage typically involves light to medium pressure, with soothing longitudinal strokes and gentle kneading from head to toe—covering everything from your hands to your feet. Prefer a firmer touch? Just let us know—we’re happy to dial up the pressure to suit your needs!

It’s a nod to the origins of massage, dating back to the time of Hippocrates as well as the ancient "healing-by-hands" practices in medieval times.

It's Melbourne Marathon Week, so we recommend getting a marathon pre-rub on either Thursday or Friday before your big run to minimise any soreness feeling on Sunday morning. Sometimes the day following a medium-to-firm sports massage your nervous system can become overly sensitised to the treatment, even though usually you pull up fine post-massage. Leaving a day up your sleeve ensures you are in optimum shape before your run.

We welcome Tania to the Brunswick East studio on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Here she'll blend a mix of holistic therapy, remedial massage techniques, reiki, kinesiology as well as the use of "access bars".

Access bars are placed on 32 unique points of the body while the head is gently touched, enhancing a client's clarity as Tania shifts energy systems via the bars.

For 16 years Tania has immersed herself in the study of natural healing methods, understanding that every ailment is linked to emotions, which can then be addressed through bodywork and deeper levels of communication.
