Nathan started his career as a carpenter in the country. But he wanted something more. He made a courageous career change in search of meaningful work and found it in aged care.

At the time of filming, Nathan was a Wellbeing Team Leader at Medical and Aged Care Group’s (MACG) Casey Aged Care home, where his kindness, patience and quiet strength brought comfort and connection to every resident he supported.

Nathan has now been promoted to the role of Wellbeing Program Coordinator, a reflection of his growth and the impact he continues to make across our homes.

His compassion shines through, and our residents feel it every day.

🎥 Watch Nathan’s story in this video from our Together We Grow series.

The Sippers are growing! 🍷

Our beloved wine-tasting crew at our Traralgon home welcomed more new members into the fold.

With glasses in hand and plates full of nibbles, the expanded group shared stories, laughter, and of course, their signature Moscato tastings.

Everyone’s welcome at The Sippers table. Because good wine tastes even better with great company! 🥂❤

Happy Friday, everyone!

This is Richard, one of the much-loved residents at our Casey Manor home in Narre Warren.

Richard is a familiar face around the home. He has a cheeky charm and a big heart, always lending a hand, sharing a laugh, and taking quiet pride in being a resident and part of the home.

Last week, Casey Manor’s staff presented Richard with a Certificate of Appreciation to express their gratitude for all that he does. He was absolutely chuffed be recognised for the part he plays in Casey Manor.

It was a small gesture, but one that meant a lot- to Richard and to all of us.

Last week, our residents brought a little bit of Paris to their homes with a vibrant Bastille Day celebration.

Champagne, French cheese, croissants, crème brûlée, music, berets and laughter made for a really fun day! 🥐🥂🧀

A special shout-out and heartfelt thank you to our wonderful chef, Jocelyn, at our Grand Cedar home, who came in on her day off to treat everyone with her incredible baking. Vive la France!

Together We Grow is our new video series, shining a light on the faces behind Medical and Aged Care Group (MACG) and the stories that shape who we are.

When MACG acquired the home where Annabel worked, she could never have predicted how far she’d grow.

Today, Annabel is our General Manager of Clinical Systems, leading change, supporting our teams, and helping deliver better care across all our homes.

Watch her story in the first video of our Together We Grow video series. 🎥❤️

Across our Medical and Aged Care Group (MACG) homes, residents, families and staff embraced NAIDOC Week. It was heartwarming to see everyone connecting and sharing in this important celebration.🖤💛❤️ 💚💙🖤

From visiting the Bunjilaka exhibition at Melbourne Museum to creating vibrant dot paintings, this week was full of learning, colour and connection. At Traralgon, we got creative with pillowcase painting and bracelet making, and even tried kangaroo steak before enjoying Barrumbi Kids together. Our Indigenous resident, Sam, explored a powerful Virtual Reality experience, and others joined in at Parkdale along with a resonant didgeridoo performance.

As we reflect on these experiences, we look forward to continuing our journey of understanding and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, acknowledging the importance of these experiences in the journey of reconciliation.

On the weekend, Medical and Aged Care Group celebrated an extraordinary milestone- Alison’s 104th birthday!

Alison brings warmth to every corner of our Parkdale home. Whether she’s enjoying her morning coffee outings with her daughter, settling into a front row seat for entertainment (and singing along!), or joining a lively game of Bingo, she’s always right at the heart of the fun.

A lover of stories, from sweeping romances to true crime and history, Alison is always the friendly face in the dining room, where she loves catching up with fellow residents over meals.

Alison, your positivity, energy, and kind heart continue to inspire us all. We’re so lucky to have you as part of our Parkdale family. Please join us in wishing Alison a very happy 104th Birthday and leave her a birthday message in the comments below! 💌

Our Oaklea Hall residents celebrated World Chocolate Day in the sweetest way, with a spread full of Tim Tams, marshmallows, and chocolate-covered strawberries! 🍫🍓🍡

Max stuck with his trusty favourite- Arnott's Tim Tam, of course, Joan made a beeline for the strawberries, Mary stayed loyal to her beloved Milky Way , but couldn’t resist sneaking in a cheeky Tim Tam too, and Don? He sampled it all!

Sweet treats, sticky fingers, and plenty of smiles, that's how we do Chocolate Day. Zero regrets, just pure chocolatey joy!😄

Happy World Chocolate Day from all of us at MACG! May your day be as sweet as ours! 💝

Happy Friday! Say hello to "The Sippers" 🍷🎶

Jack, Dot, Janice, Pam, Christine, and Warren have formed their own wine club at Medical and Aged Care Group's Traralgon Home and proudly call themselves The Sippers!

In the afternoons or early evenings, you'll find them sharing laughs, listening to music, and sampling a variety of wines together. Each member brings a different bottle for the group to try.

Next on The Sippers’ tasting list:
Baily and Baily Wines Pink Moscato
Jacob's Creek Moscato Rosé
Brown Brothers Winery Moscato Rosé
Banrock Station Pink Moscato

Safe to say their wine palate leans toward the sweet and sparkling side, and we're here for it! 🥂

Medical and Aged Care Group’s (MACG) second intergenerational event with The Wombat Collective brought together residents and international students for a heartwarming afternoon of tea, conversation and creativity. After exchanging handmade cards earlier this year, it was great to see both generations meet in person and share stories face-to-face. 💌💞

Together, they crafted MACG Worry Dolls - small, handmade figures designed to hold worries and bring comfort. This special project is part of a broader wellbeing initiative across our homes that fosters purpose, connection and creativity. The Worry Dolls are thoughtfully shared at community events, offered to hospitals and local organisations, and given to visitors, ensuring that everyone can experience their soothing presence.🪆🫶

We can’t wait to welcome the students back in August for another meaningful gathering. ❤️

When generations come together, something truly beautiful unfolds. ✨️

This week at our Carrum Downs home, our residents were treated to a heartwarming visit from Hey dee ho educational services. The room was full of music, dancing, laughter and sweet moments shared between local children and our residents.

We also had a special visitor, The Hon. Sonya Kilkenny MP , Member for Carrum, who came along to join the fun and experience one of our intergenerational music sessions.

These sessions go beyond music; they bring happiness, comfort and connection to everyone involved.

Thank you to all who helped make it a truly special day. ❤️
