As 2025 draws to a close, our MACG team came together for our annual Christmas celebration, a tradition that has brought our people together year after year.

With colleagues travelling in from across our homes, the night was about connection first. Plenty of laughter, a lot of encouragement, and a very brave round of MACG’s Got Talent that reminded us not to take ourselves too seriously.

It has been a big year for MACG. We welcomed two new homes into the group in September, continued to grow our programs and partnerships, and celebrated 80 service milestones across the organisation.

What was most evident on the night was the pride people feel in being part of MACG, and the relationships that underpin our work. In a sector facing constant change, that sense of belonging and shared purpose matters.

Looking ahead to 2026, there is a lot to be excited about. But what remains constant is our focus on culture, supporting one another, and staying true to the values that define how we show up for residents, families, and each other.

To every member of the MACG team, thank you for the energy, care, and commitment you brought to 2025. We are looking forward to the year ahead, together!

Did you see our residents from Oaklea Hall on A Current Affair?
Through our partnership with Connect the 40%, several residents had their Christmas wishes quietly fulfilled by complete strangers. From a butterfly visit, to a trip to the Dandenong Ranges for scones, to a mechanical wooden clock ready to be assembled, these were just some of the many simple, thoughtful and deeply meaningful gifts shared.

We are proud to be part of an initiative that brings comfort, surprise and genuine human connection into the everyday lives of people living in aged care.

This week, staff were acknowledged and celebrated for their years of dedicated service at MACG.

Casey Manor proudly acknowledged Gail, Carla, and Wendy for their commitment and passion. In particular, Gail deserves special recognition for her remarkable 20 years of service with MACG.
Casey Aged Care celebrated 15 years for Kata Vukma, 10 Years for Aliah Ali and 5 years for Maureen Pyritz
Northern Gardens also celebrated, with Cheltenham Manor recognising their staff members with a wonderful celebration.

These staff members are wonderful examples of loyalty, hard work, and passion. Their commitment not only strengthens our teams but also enriches the lives of those we care for every day.

At MACG, our Christmas Giving Trees and Lions cake donations are such an important part of our contribution to local community. Each home has collected toys and groceries for our community partners. Knox Infolink, Back to Basics, Find a Penny Foundation, Chelsea Church of Christ, Amaroo Neighborhood House, Salvation Army, St. Michaels Parish Traralgon, St. Anthony's Parish, Glenhuntly, Power Neighborhood House, Bayside Community Emergency Relief.

Santa welcomed everyone to the Carrum Downs family Christmas Party with a Santa sack of goodies! A fabulous afternoon with music by Rene and beautiful Christmas Menu by Marcus and the Catering team. Thanks to the Wellbeing team for all the party preparation and to the entire Carrum Downs team for bringing the festive fun and Christmas Spirit.

Traralgon Aged Care residents celebrated with family and staff at this weeks Christmas Party. A great atmosphere enjoy by all with entertainment, food, drinks and a special visit from Santa. Lots of singing, dancing and laughing throughout the event.
A big thank you to Karen, Marcus and the catering team for the fabulous food. A special mention to the Wellbeing Team and care staff for their assistance during the event.

Boronia Residential Aged Care hosted a fabulous Christmas Party with music by Boronia favorites, Chris Le Bon and Carol. Festive fun with family & friends, singing, dancing and guest appearances by Elvis and Santa! Thanks to Marcus and catering team for the party menu and Wellbeing team for all the preparation and party fun! Our party encore was high energy - some YMCA, ABBA & Bruno Mars. Congratulations to the raffle winners.

Casey Aged Care held their Resident Christmas party recently.
A fun filled afternoon with drinks, fabulous food, entertainment from "Locksley".
A special performance from the Wellbeing team and a visit from Santa. Thank you to all who attended and staff that assisted throughout the day, especially the catering team for such a beautiful array of food.

There was a fabulous festive atmosphere at the Grand Cedar Christmas Party. Residents, families and staff joined together for an afternoon of fun, singing, dancing and a beautiful menu by the Catercare team. Thank you to the entire Grand Cedar community for the very generous Christmas Giving Tree donations, in support of the Amaroo Neighborhood Centre.

Cheltenham Manor welcomed families and friends to their Christmas Party; a festive afternoon with music by Carol & visit by Santa & Mrs Claus! Thanks to the staff for preparing and hosting such a special resident & family event.
Thanks to our home community for donating to the Christmas Giving Trees for the Bayside Community Emergency Relief Toy Drive. Residents and staff from Cheltenham Manor & Greenwood Manor were thrilled to deliver these generous donations last Friday.

Casey Manor celebrated their resident Christmas Party this week.
Residents, families, staff and friends came together to enjoy an afternoon of festivities. A performance by "Ricky", exceptional food and presents for all residents from a special Santa. Plenty of Bon Bons cracking, singing and dancing. Thank you to all involved in making it a wonderful experience.

Northern Gardens commenced their Christmas Party day with beautiful classical music. Thanks to the entire NG team for hosting such a fabulous fun afternoon, filled with singing and dancing.
