Eastern Balance Kinesiology

Eastern Balance Kinesiology Welcome to Eastern Balance Kinesiology! Please see my website: www.easternbalancekinesiology.com to book a kinesiology session. What is kinesiology?

You can order Fruitful Feelings chakra cards for kids through Etsy: http://bit.ly/fruitfulfeelings Erica Boettcher is a mother of two, a kinesiology practitioner and teacher who loves working with adults and children from her clinic in Mitcham. She is also the creator of Fruitful Feelings chakra cards for kids. Kinesiology is based on the principle that your body knows what it needs to be healthy

and is capable of healing itself but sometimes needs help to get back on track. Kinesiology uses muscle testing to monitor and correct stress and imbalances in your body, helping to restore energy flow and bring about positive change and balance in your life. How does it help? Your thoughts, perceptions and feelings have a significant impact on all aspects of your life. Kinesiology can help you to identify and improve areas in your life which are not working for you and assist you in making positive changes. Kinesiology can help you to:

• set and achieve goals
• release stress and anxiety
• let go of the past
• relieve pain
• identify food sensitivities
• overcome learning difficulties
• boost energy levels
• make decisions, and
• find direction in life. Kinesiology can help you to become a happier, more positive version of you.

What makes you special?

At my son's school today, we did an activity on what makes us special.

It was wonderful to observe how he saw himself, and how he saw me. Together we came up with:

💜 Kind
🍏 Helpful
🩷 Big heart
🍓 Great imagination
💛 Creative
🪻 Gives great hugs
🍁 Loves Nature
✂️ Crafting expert
🤡 Funny
🌳 And my personal favourite, thanks to the Oak tree, connected (you might be able to see how he has connected the roots of the tree to every aspect of himself in his drawing).

If you've had sessions with me lately, the Oak tree has been coming up a lot, and I introduced the idea to my son last week, because he was feeling a lot of pressure (at 6 years old!) to be everything to everyone.

The Oak flower essence helps us shift out of feelings of depletion from too much responsibility, back to feeling nourished and able to give from an overflow of joy. I explained to him that if things ever feel too much, he just needs to connect to our roots and he will receive all the nourishment he needs.

Since then, he has been so much happier (he came home the next day and told me he was an Oak tree all day!) and his teacher keeps telling me he's back to his normal sweet self. Wow!

And just quietly, I'm taking a moment to acknowledge that this gift of kinesiology is something that makes me special too. 🌈✨

Embracing the colours of Autumn today and appreciating the simple joys, my flowers even match my dress!

Today I have been supporting clients through change, helping their nervous systems to feel safe to potentially make a mistake (the key to success!) by acknowledging their minds, but choosing instead to dial up the volume on self-love and compassion in their hearts. 🩷

Has it been a while since your last kinesiology session? Now is a great time to release what is holding you back to support you to step into Winter with a greater sense of ease and peace. You can book in online: https://easternbalancekinesiology.com/book-a-session/

So excited to be back supporting my first clients of the year today.

Over the past few days I have been cleaning the space physically and energetically and it's feeling sparkly.

Whatever this year brings you, it is my honour to be walking next to you.

2025, let's do this!

A big day for our family today, one starting at a new school, and the other their first ever day at school.

This morning my older son chose some Bach flower essences for me to put in my water bottle (as I had done for him): 5 flowers (like rescue remedy) for confidence, walnut for protection and honeysuckle to find sweetness in the present moment. Spot on.

Much to my relief, both boys came out of school smiling, a sign of a good day.

Did you have little (or big) ones back at school or starting school this week? How did it go for you?

If you or your child could use some support, I'll be back at work on Saturday and would love to help as I adjust to life without little ones at home during the day (well not human little ones anyway). 🐶

Hello! How has the start of your year been?

I'm still in holiday mode for now, enjoying a slower pace and our delightful (but bitey 🧛🏼‍♂️😬) new family member. 🐾

I'm just popping in to share this photo from my walk this morning.

There is a little park near me that I often walk through that has chalk available for the kids who play there.

I find myself wondering what messages I'll find when I walk through there and sometimes it feels like they have been written just for me.

This was the message today and it had me reflecting on some of the ways I can, or already do, show myself kindness.

Here are the top 5 that I came up with as I walked and I thought you might like to hear them too:

1. Stop comparing! It is a thief of joy. This is something I regularly have conversations with my boys about, encouraging them to value their uniqueness and focus on what lights them up. I find this especially important when it comes to social media, it is very easy to find yourself in a "not good enough" spiral here.

2. Catch and acknowledge unhelpful thoughts. Like a toddler, ignoring them only makes them louder, but if you acknowledge them, they usually quieten down and then you are better able to choose which thoughts you focus your attention on.

3. Chop wood, carry water. Staying grounded in the present and enjoying the small moments can help you work towards your future goals. You are exactly where you're meant to be. One step at a time, the little things are the big things.

4. Breathe. Slowly. Oxygen is life. Drop those shoulders.

5. Give yourself a pat on the back. We are often so focused on the need to be productive, racing from one goal to the next without taking a moment to reflect on and celebrate how far we've come. It doesn't have to be big, and your idea of success doesn't have to look like anyone else's. Don't wait for someone else to acknowledge you, be your own cheerleader.

Can you add to this list? I'd love to hear.

Our hearts are delighted to introduce you to our newest bringer of joy, "Buddy". It seems I'm destined to be a mum of boys, and that's just fine by me. 😍

Let me know if you'd be up for a visit during your kinesiology sessions in the future (when he's a little less squirmy!) but of course I know dogs are not for everyone.

Thank you for another wonderful year of trusting me to support you as you have navigated the massive energies of this year of the dragon.

This year sure has shaken things up and paved the way for so much growth and transformation as we have laughed, cried (sometimes sworn a little 😉) and grown together.

All sessions are now filled for the rest of the year and I will be taking January off to recharge and help my youngest son begin life as a school kid (a new chapter for our family and for Eastern Balance Kinesiology as I hope to have more capacity to support you in the future- watch this space 😊).

My calendar is open for February and is already filling, so if you have been thinking about booking a session to start your year, now is a good time to jump online and book (http://easternbalancekinesiology.com/book-a-session/).

These gorgeous flowers were kindly gifted to me today by a beautiful client, she said the colours looked like me, I feel she was spot on! 💐🌸🌻🩷

This may look like a simple photo of some rosemary and lemon, but to me, it is so much more. It is full of support, generosity, kindness and community.

The lemons were given to me (my lemon tree wasn't very fruitful this year) by a wonderful client, and some from my (equally as wonderful 😉) mother in law. The lemon essential oil was kindly gifted to me by a friend because mine had run out, and the rosemary essential oil was a birthday gift from the beautifully wise Tiff . And the fresh bunch of rosemary came from my neighbour, who I'm so grateful to be sharing in this wild roller coaster ride of raising our boys together.

Lemon essential oil is very refreshing and uplifting, and according to Robbi Zeck's () lovely book, "The blossoming heart" that I often refer to during kinesiology sessions, it is an "aromatic spa for the brain", helping to shift confusion and increase mental clarity.

Rosemary helps to recharge your creative batteries, reconnect to your creative fire and allow the next part of your cycle to emerge.

I've never tried these two oils together before, but it might just be a new favourite. Whether it's the oils, or time spent walking and talking with a beautiful friend tonight, I am definitely feeling uplifted.

Do you have a favourite essential oil? I'd love to hear how it helps you.

When your son is growing up with access to tools that support him through life's challenges and he asks at bedtime last night if I can test for him what he needs today. (I believe this is where I'm meant to type POV- but I don't know what it means! 😂).

If you saw my previous post about the rock in my bathroom, you can imagine he knew he needed a crystal at the end (though how it's going to fit in his room, I have no idea!). He chose lapis lazuli which I told him is for calm and clear communication. "Yup, I definitely need that one" he said.

Kids respond so beautifully to kinesiology, and often need very little to bring their energy back into balance. I am so grateful to be able to support my boys in this way as they grow.

PS he would like you to know that his feet are now very powerful (they were tired and sore) and he is happy. ☀️
