And thats a wrap!

This past weekend I laced up for a 25k trail race in the Otway National Park. The weather was wild & 🥶 and it would have been easier to roll over & stay in bed. But we had committed the night before - and sometimes thats all it takes: one small decision to show up 💪

Once we hit the trail, the magic unfolded. Slipping down single tracks & splashing through water crossings, all while running past beautiful waterfalls 💦…surrounded by nature 🌳🪾& other humans choosing adventure over comfort

It reminded me that growth often happens when we embrace the messy, imperfect conditions of life. Just like in our wellness journey, it’s not about waiting for the “perfect” moment - it’s about showing up, moving forward & finding joy in the process ✨

Do you find that you’re holding your breath?

It could be a sign your body is in fight, flight OR FREEZE

This upsets the way you can relax, sleep, regenerate.

Which means your skin breaks down - creating deeper lines, itchy skin & muscle loss

It can also be where you are putting on weight - without changing what you eat.

It also means as you go thru menopause - or have been post menopause for a while now… you have to start re-teaching your nervous system how to re-balance, rest, digest & BREATHE

With an intentional exhale - you can let go of all that tension that has built up.

So….take time to breathe, allow your body to shift out of a heightened state, and slip out of being in survival mode.
