When Jade speaks, she would like to be responded to normally, not spoken 'around'.
“Refer to me, not my carer. Look at me and talk to me.”
It might happen in an everyday moment, like ordering a coffee, where people instinctively look past Jade to instead communicate with the person beside her. Sometimes her carers gently redirect the conversation back, reminding them who the question is really for.

“I’m a big advocate for talking to me normally.”
Here, Jade tells us how inclusion isn’t about special treatment. It’s about respect, recognition, and remembering that the person in front of you is just that - a person.

It’s been a highly productive week in Melbourne as we wrap up two days of dealer technical training. These sessions give our dealer network valuable, hands‑on experience with our latest products, and provide both a helpful refresher for existing staff and a practical introduction for new team members learning to sell or service our products.

This round of training featured the launch of our new UX Seating System, engineered to make underseat adjustments faster, easier and more precise. The system is designed to streamline setup for our dealers and technicians, with a more practical and intuitive seat width and depth adjustment process.

Featuring details such as laser‑etched sizing markers and fully adjustable accessory positioning along the new side rail, the UX underseat is a sleek, user-centric and modern design innovation that our team of engineers are proud to introduce as standard on all Magic Mobility powerchairs.

This winter, my wife and I drove 1,900 km across Sápmi — Norway, Sweden, and Finland — in temperatures from -3°C to -30°C, with zero battery issues.

For Karen and her daughter Jade, the Magic 360 and XT4 haven’t just improved Jade's mobility, they have reshaped their family dynamic and opened the door to more possibility in Jade's future.

Navigating her way around the home is something Jade could not do independently only a few months ago. I’ll never forget the first time I took my Magic Mobility Extreme X8 out onto the beach. For so long, sand meant giving up my independence and relying on someone to push me in a standard beach wheelchair. And while I’m always grateful for help, there is something powerful about moving on my own terms.

With my Extreme X8, I can roll straight across the sand without worrying about getting stuck. The tires handle it so well, and it’s actually comfortable enough for me to sit in for hours. That makes a huge difference when I want to stay out for sunset or just listen to the waves a little longer.

Independence changes everything. Instead of watching from the sidelines, I get to fully experience the beach. And that freedom is something I’ll never take for granted.

100km. Two friends. One powerful mission.

On Friday 13 February from 5:00pm, Perry, a C2 ventilated quadriplegic, will navigate his Magic 360 using chin control, while Dan tags in and out beside him, until they reach the 100km mark around 5:00am Saturday morning!

This fundraiser celebrates an eight-year friendship and a shared commitment to pushing boundaries - all while raising vital funds and awareness. Magic Mobility has a long-standing connection with Perry, and is pleased to continue supporting awareness of his incredible efforts and fundraising events.

Friend of Magic, Cooper is a DJ living with Cerebral Palsy. Cooper uses his music to connect with people, and continues to shift perceptions by doing what he loves most. His story was recently highlighted in The Age, recognising how he’s carving out space in the music scene on his own terms, and flying the flag of inclusivity all over the world. Tonight, Cooper brings that energy to Frankston’s Waterfront Festival, taking his place behind the decks and doing what he does best. If you’re in Melbourne head down to the foreshore, make sure you catch his set at 6:15pm!
