Research shows Manuka honey has powerful healing qualities. When applied to wounds it can kill bacteria more effectively than antibiotics, even the ‘superbugs’. The higher the UMF number on the jar the greater the healing properties.

Do you ignore what you need, dismiss that niggling feeling in your belly, or sideline your dreams? Instead begin paying attention to what you need in every moment. Check in with yourself regularly and ask ‘How am I feeling?’ or ‘What do I need right now?’ or ‘What do I really want?’ Find out what it is and then love yourself enough to give it to yourself. Pay attention to your needs

Judgmental thinking of both yourself and others leaves you living in a black and white world labelled with “shoulds” and “should nots” as well as “if onlys.”
When you live within the confines of the huge set of "shoulds, shoudn’ts, musts and can’ts" you're living according to the dictates of others, in line with their expectations and not in accord with your own values and needs.
When you continue to live by others rules you sabotage your own hopes and dreams.
When you forgot what your dreams were, it’s as if your inner Life GPS has been switched off. You can’t possibility follow your passion when you can’t even define it any more.

Poor sleep affects your health even if you’re doing everything else right, and melatonin plays an important role in healthy sleep. It’s one of the most important neurotransmittors to help you optimise your sleep as it plays a crucial role in your circadian rhythm, or internal clock.
✦ Artificial lighting and electronic gadgets near the bed can be 'sleep destroyers' as they interfere with melatonin production.
✦ Other important minerals for sleep are magnesium, potassium and Vitamin D. Magnesium deficiency can cause insomnia; lack of potassium can lead to difficulty staying asleep; and vitamin D deficiency has been linked to excessive daytime sleepiness.
✦ To promote good sleep, make sure you’re exposed to full natural light during the day, and avoid or at least minimise artificial lighting once the sun goes down, especially as bedtime draws near.
✦ Leave your mobile phone away from the bed and place clock radios, laptops and other electronic objects at the foot of the bed. . . zzzzzzzzzzzzz.
✦ If this isn’t enough you may need to take melatonin.

High in fibre, protein and manganese, chickpeas are little power-bites of goodness. You can’t afford not to eat this superfood

Here’s why…
✮ Chickpeas contain phytoestrogens which are a weak plant-form of oestrogen to help regulate the body’s hormone production and lower the risk of breast cancer
✮ Phytoestrogen can really help minimize hot flushes in peri-menopausal women
✮ Just two to three tablespoons equates to one of your recommended five-a-day vegetables
✮ Chickpeas are high in soluble fibre which can help lower cholesterol
✮ Eating chickpeas leaves you feeling fuller for longer, meaning you consume less calories overall.
✮ Chickpeas are a vegetarian-friendly source of protein, with just one cup containing 15g
✮ One cup of chickpeas contains 1.7 milligrams of manganese which is approximately 94 percent of the daily recommended intake for women, or 74 percent of the RDA for men
Are you getting enough chickpeas?
