Some of our most common questions, wrapped up in a carousel for you:

1️⃣ I don’t have the time for an appointment.
You may not have the time now, but sometimes when you wait you may have to make more time to see an improvement. Get onto those niggles early.

2️⃣ I can’t do my rehab.
We get it, life gets in the way. But please understand that your recovery time will be longer when you can’t fit in your rehab. Facts.

3️⃣ Do I need a scan?
Sometimes - yes you do. Your Osteopath may chat to you about this during your appointment. As a general rule, when the result of the scan will change your management plan, it’s a yes. Or, when we think having a better understanding of your condition will help you move forward, another yes.

4️⃣ How did you find the best Osteopaths?
We are very fortunate to have such a wonderful team of Osteopaths at Monty Osteo - and we all work so well together as a team working towards a common goal - your goal 🏆

Our team of Osteopaths 🫶

Rewind 6 months ago and I was still working on my own from my downstairs rumpus space in Montmorency.

But I knew I had to step outside of my comfort zone. And 2025 was the year to do that.

I knew we could help more people, and grow a community where healthcare really does feel human.

I am so grateful for my wonderful team and I put my complete trust in all of them.

If you are in need of an Osteopath, our amazing team are here to support you.

If I had a dollar each time 💸😂….

Someone referred to Osteos as “that’s just bones right?” 🤔

No. It’s way more than just bones 🦴

What this conversation does though, is it starts to change the thoughts behind what we do. And every question is a new opportunity to educate on what we actually do 📖

Call us curious, what’s one thing that changed your mind into what Osteopaths *actually* do? Would love to hear your thoughts 💭

We have all been told at one point “you just need to rest” when recovering from pain or an injury.

However, it can be frustrating when rest doesn’t help.

And that’s because what you actually need is so much more.

Osteopathic assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management can be the needle moving strategy to less pain, increased movement and injury recovery.

Your Osteopath can provide you with education on your diagnosis, suggestions for how to stay active whilst recovering, and hands on treatment.

They can also provide you with information about other health professionals who may need to be a part of your health care team.

In addition, the people you surround yourself with and talk to about your pain or injury can be just as important. No more getting health advice from that family member at your aunt’s 80th birthday 🤯

Reach out if you have any questions on how Osteopathy may be able to help you with pain or an injury.

The one thing about our job as Osteopaths, is when a new patient books in with us we don’t always know what the presentation will be ❔

But it does mean that we need to be confident with all potential musculoskeletal presentations 🙌

However, we always get asked what we like to treat 🤩

Here is a little summary of some of the niche conditions or ages that each of us commonly look at

Dr Cooper Galacho:
🔹Teen athletes and their associated sporting injuries
🔹 Retirees complaining of joint stiffness and immobility

Dr Jacqui Green:
🔹Upper back pain and rib pain
🔹Hip injuries and hip pain

Dr Claire Troughton:
🔹Neck pain and headaches/migraines
🔹Teenagers and young adults

Dr Dana Robbins
🔹Lower back pain
🔹Shoulder pain and injuries

Please note, we are not saying that we specialize or have additional qualifications in treating these areas. These are areas of the body that we all like to treat.

All our Osteopaths at Monty Osteo are confident and capable for any musculoskeletal condition.

Please get in touch if you have any questions

🌱 This space feels so calming
🌱 I love people watching from these chairs
🌱 That plant is a beauty!

Love our little clinic, but I think we might have to add a tea 🍵 station for winter ❄️

Feeling better so that you stop being a grump all the time due to pain or injury 😂 ( )

At Monty Osteo, we often describe your recovery from pain or an injury, as being on a continuum 📈

In the early stages, often you need more support to get you back on track. This support can be in the form of manual therapy and education.

As you improve, the support from us drops off, the education into learning about your triggers is paramount, and exercises increase to support your healing journey.

When you have recovered, you still may need some support to stay on track, but mostly this stage is about what you need to do and also be aware of as you get back into your normal routine.

🙏 Please note - this is not for every injury. There are some conditions which may require rehab straight away. However, this would be the most common management plan that we develop at Monty Osteo.

For the TLDR, you need us more at the start and less at the end in your healing journey.

Get in touch if you have any questions, or even better book a free telehealth consult with us to discuss your goals.

If you answered with a hell yes to either of these questions, then Osteopathy may be of benefit to you.

Let me explain…

Osteopaths commonly see those clients presenting with pain that doesn’t go away with rest (or a nap 😴) or pain that persists longer than it takes you to make a successful sourdough starter…

We also see clients who struggle to do the things they used to, be it exercise, gardening, or even standing long enough to watch their kids football game.

It can be frustrating and make you feel at a loss with where to go for help.

At Monty Osteo, you’ll find a place where healthcare feels human. Where you will be listened to, educated and cheer you on from the sidelines.

You can book with us by following the link in our bio 🔗

Just like our signage, all good things take time.

It took time to get our branding, colours and logo just right.

Hence, our signage was one of the last pieces of the puzzle for our move into Were st.

As it went up this morning, I was full of gratitude for what we are building here at Monty Osteo 🥰

Not only that, I’m extremely proud of what we have already achieved.

To compare, sometimes you also need to take time to find the right practitioner. The right clinic.

A place where it’s not about “quick fixes”, but more about healthcare feeling human.

A place where the manual therapy component is a small part of your healthcare journey.

If you haven’t already seen the clinic, you can’t miss us now 🫣

As Osteopaths, most often our clients know what to expect when they come in for an appointment.

But if you are new here, then here is a little explanation on why you might need to see an Osteopath.

We commonly see clients complaining of muscle aches and pains, joint stiffness, pain that is unexplained, and sporting or overuse injuries.

When you see an Osteopath, they will ask questions that will help them prepare an examination, which will lead them to a diagnosis. This means, they will explain to you what they think is going on, how it may have come about, and how to best overcome it.

At Monty Osteo, education is paramount and we understand the importance of giving you enough information to help manage your condition.

We act like a support network when you can’t seem to get on top of the issue on your own. But ultimately, we want to empower you to make decisions that manage your symptoms and improve your overall health and wellbeing.

We have a pretty cool incentive for an appointment these school holidays - a FREE SPIKEY BALL!!

We are giving away a spikey massage ball to any school aged child AND teachers who come and see us over the school holidays!

Reason? Cause we think the break is a perfect time to not only get in for an appointment, but to develop a routine around maintenance including self massage and muscle release techniques.

And whilst we love all of our clients, these school holidays it’s all about showing the kids and the teachers that we care about their health and wellbeing 🫶

And parents - we will do our bit by actually teaching your child/teen HOW to use the ball and to develop good routines around actually using it (you can thank us later 😉)

🤝 This offer extends to our current clients and also new clients to Monty Osteo
🤝 One spikey ball per person (teacher or school aged child).
🤝 Offer is valid until the 25th of April - yep an extra week after school holidays 😊
