We are delighted to share some wonderful news with our NIIM community. Our research on the ‘Prevalence of Vitamin-D deficiency and respiratory tract infections in adults: A cross-sectional study’ has now been officially published in AIMED – Advances in Integrative Medicine (Vol. 12, 2025).

This achievement is especially meaningful given how challenging it has been in recent years to have integrative-medicine research accepted in peer-reviewed journals.

The findings and key messages in this Vitamin D article are highly relevant to both the NIIM community and the broader Australian public. With ongoing national conversations about optimal vitamin D levels, prevention strategies, and public-health recommendations, this publication arrives at a critical time.
