Outreach trips across the globe, local volunteer opportunities, and heaps more! TeamMED is a student-run organisation that facilitates initiatives addressing global health inequity. Based at Monash University, we provide students with opportunities to become involved and make meaningful contributions to global health. We aim to instil passion and enthusiasm for global health by enabling student involvement in both local and global initiatives. Our programs include partnerships with local communities across five nations, local volunteer opportunities and information evenings. We also conduct fundraising initiatives and collect medical resources. Where students travel overseas, we work to provide focused and educational trips with a focus on sustainability, service quality and patient rights. In running our programs, we endeavour to promote and abide by the "10 Ethical Principles for Working Abroad", as published by the Australian Medical Association in conjunction with the Australian Medical Students' Association.

Bhakanje is a small Nepalese village nestled in the Himalayas - its rural location and topographical barriers make it immensely difficult for villagers to access any form of healthcare. In fact, some have never seen a doctor or dentist in their life.
