SPACS SPACS is an NDIS registered provider of Support Coordination and Psychosocial Recovery Coach services. SPACS services all Australian communities.

We support individuals and NDIS participants with significant or permanent physical and/or mental health disability conditions. We provide a mobile service in the Melbourne Southeast of Dandenong, Casey Cardinia, Frankston and Mornington Peninsula, and online Australia-wide. We acknowledge the culturally diverse makeup of our communities and deliver culturally sensitive support to Aboriginal/indigenous First Nations people, Migrants and CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse) Refugee and Asylum communities. Many are still unaware of NDIS or struggle to access the scheme due to cultural, language and other social challenges and barriers. Within our own community, many Australians of Samoan and Pacific Island ethnicity do not access NDIS for disability care and mental health support. Again, this is often due to language, cultural norms and barriers, and sometimes because such services are unfamiliar. It is for these key reasons that SPACS was born. After decades of experience working in the welfare industry, we’re proud to continue servicing the community as SPACS within the Australian government NDIS framework.

LIVING LIBRARY EXPERIENCE

"I used to set my alarm for 5:30 AM – not to chase my dreams, but to beat the traffic to someone else's."

Meet Olivia Partsch - who after 40 years as an employee, stepped out in faith at the height of COVID to launch SPACS (Strive Pacific Community Service), proving that obedience to calling can transform an entire community.

Her journey of faith & purpose:
• From watching profit replace compassion in the NDIS sector
• Building a business with no experience, just prayer & purpose
• Creating culturally sensitive, bilingual support services
• Her grandson's words "All Better Together" becoming the company motto
• Her professionally trained children joining the mission

This isn't just about starting a business - it's about answering a calling when the safe path no longer serves your God-given purpose.
Ready to discover what happens when faith meets action?

Children and young people who have lost someone to su***de need a lot of help and support. Their reactions will often differ from an adult’s.
• Ensure an appropriate person talks to them as soon as it’s possible to do so
• Ensure they are in a safe place to talk, where there are no distractions, and the depth of discussion is age appropriate
• It is important to be honest with children and young people about what happened.
• Reassure them it’s not their fault
• If you are unsure about how to talk to them or how to support them, talk to a counsellor/psychologist.
• If they are not coping and you are concerned, seek professional help from a counsellor/psychologist or GP.
For support, contact Lifeline via our phone service on 13 11 14 (24 hours, 7 days) or via our online text service 0477 13 11 14 or chat service (https://www.lifeline.org.au/crisis-chat) (also 24 hours, 7 days).
