It’s time to STOP the negative self talk. 🌟

It’s time to break free from the lies you’ve been telling yourself. You are enough. You are worthy of love (yes that means self-love), you deserve happiness, and you deserve to live a life that sets your soul on fire. 🔥

Today, choose self-compassion over self-criticism. Choose growth over perfection. Choose kindness over self judgement.

Repeat after me “I am incredible.” Even if you roll your eyes, say it! Even if you feel ridiculous, say it! Say it out loud 5 times. Say it with sass.. just do it ✨

We are officially half way through May!🌻

This is your sign to get moving and to give something new a try this month. Show up and take a chance on yourself, create a new chapter, open a new door. There is no right or wrong here, just get going! Personally? I am absolutely doing this too. I’ve started a new fitness regime, I’m in a completely different job that is so different to anything I’ve ever done before, I’m booking trips where I normally wouldn’t, I’m studying and holding myself accountable, and I’m allowing myself to be more open and vulnerable with the people in my circle. I am absolutely inviting new chapters, new connections and new adventures into this month of May, and I invite you to do the same.

Have you ever tried a Jump Board Pilates class/session? Jump boards are my absolute favourite! Let me tell you why:

• When you first try a Jump board sesh, it’s going to 🔥 and you’ll probably be silently salty at your instructor whilst your glutes are on fire hah. But don’t be discouraged, take those breaks if you need them throughout. After a few classes you’ll notice how your body begins to strengthen, your endurance improves and how you can push yourself further each time (Golly, when I think back to my first few classes on the jumpbaords 😵‍💫) Don’t give up I promise it gets better!

• When you’re having a CBF kinda day/morning this session is the best because you’re literally lying down for a number of the exercises. Don’t be fooled though, you’ll still be working those legs, arms and core.

• It’s so much fun! In my experience it’s often a faster paced session and by the end of the class your heart rate is pumping. BUT you can absolutely modify the exercises and the pace, to suit where you’re at that day.

• Hello cardio! Whilst you can absolutely incorporate cardio into your reformer workout, jump boards enable a stronger cardio focus and honestly, I am a sucker for a cardio workout. 🏃🏻‍♀️

• Did someone say mental break? I find that if I need to distract my mind, reduce my thoughts or just simply release some energy, stress or frustration, a cardio session is the way to go. My mood improves, my energy levels improve and I feel a sense of accomplishment after the workout.

I could go on and on, but instead I will leave you with this. Jump board Pilates is a great way to get your heart rate pumping, to increase endurance, support coordination and to strengthen your muscles. So if this sounds like something you would like to experience, don’t just take my word for it, go and give it a go 😜💪🏼.

Broken hearts aren’t always related to ‘love’ you can experience a broken heart for a myriad of reasons. Im here to remind you that it is completely okay not to be okay and that yes, life can feel really damn heavy at times. Just take it one step and one day at a time. Deep breathe, one foot infront of the other and hold that head of yours up high, because you are absolutely going to get through whatever period of life you’re in right now.. just keep going!

When in doubt, stressed, scared or anxious, my favorite way of pushing through is to take a deep breath and say out loud “in your hands Universe.” I use this tool everywhere..in the car, shower, on the train, when something feels uncertain, before a big event.. literally anywhere!

Now for some background.. I am the type of person who will stress about stress, before there’s even any stress to stress about…unless I actively stop myself (perfectionist things 🙃).

Its taken some time but I’ve learned to begin to stop that need for complete control over everything in my life, and to just trust that the Universe will go to work on my behalf. This small but powerful statement has helped me let go of panic, let go of frustration towards the actions of others, let go of trying to predict certain situations and to trust that whatever the outcome, everything is going to be okay. I smile when I use this nowadays because it just feels like this little magical secret, that brings light to those heavy or uncertain moments life can often present (I use this several times a week or even day, no joke)!

So.. go on, give this one a try. Take a deep breathe and say out aloud “in your hands Universe.” (Do not skip the deep breathe!)

Oh hey! 👋🏼 It has been a long while since I was active here so let’s have a chat.

If you were ever a client or workshop attendee of mine, you’ll know that I used to host workshops, meditation classes and offer 1:1 appointments such as reiki healing. That was lots of fun and I really loved being part of the healing/self care journey of so many of you. Cue the pandemic and everything changed, I stopped providing all of those things. Certain events took place that completely shook my world, and I lost a huge part of who I thought I was. I was completely lost.

It’s funny, sometimes the hardest experiences really push you in a different direction and boy was I pushed (we’ll talk about that another time)! I had to heal different parts of my own self, revisit (or acknowledge) the shadow parts of my self and begin to redefine or rebuild who I am from who I thought I was. I realized that until.. let’s call it ‘the big push,’ I wasn’t really living authentically to me anymore, or to my core values. I stopped knowing who I was.

The last 3 years I completely changed the way I think, the way I behave, and the way I interpret or engage with the world around me, and you know what? I actually really love the new person all those things pushed me into. So why am I telling you this? Im telling you this because I think vulnerability is so important, in a world that tends to only show you the most ‘perfect’ picture. I think it’s important to normalize the steps or experiences we all go through, in order to live more in line with ourselves. So what does all this mean for this page? It means that I will be offering you all the things that have helped me begin to live more authentically! It means I get to offer more of the things that bring joy to me in the hopes of creating more joy for you.

I’m feeling really excited for this year ahead. So I just wanted to let you all in on where I’ve been, what I’ve been working on and reintroduce my authentic self to you. So here is a more raw image of me, that I never would have posted before. To say a huge HEY from the more authentic me, it’s so nice to meet you 🥰

Introducing Mindful Monday’s!

Mindfulness is the act of being present in the current moment of time, on purpose & without judgement.

As human beings we spend the most part of our lives generating thoughts, with 70-80% of those thoughts being negative in nature. In fact research suggests that we can experience up to 6000 thoughts in any given day. It’s no wonder we experience overwhelm, stress, tension, dwelling on past, frustration, challenging emotions etc.

Mindful Monday’s will remind you (and me) to STOP, take yourself out of autopilot & allow you to begin to take control of your own mind as opposed to allowing your mind to control you. Ever driven home and not remembered how you got there? Then mindfulness practice may just be for you.

Try this exercise at the beginning of every day. You may wish to find a focus point, to close your eyes, or whatever supports you to feel most comfortable. The best part about this exercise? You can do it anytime, anyplace, anywhere & all you need is 30-60 seconds. Personally I use this exercise whenever I feel anxious or to start my day on the right foot.

Feeling disheartened lately?
That’s okay! Remember, the universe 100% has your best interests at heart every single day. This is a lesson I’ve learned myself many, many times over.

Does it feel like you’ve had a number of losses or changes to relationships, situations or events? Don’t give up just yet!

Just know, there’s method to this madness. The universe is aware of the energy we put into it. So when negative or lower vibrational energy is projected by us or those around us, the universe will react accordingly. It will remove people and change situations to help you not hurt you and yes, this can be a painful and difficult process. It’s called growing pains for a reason, right? But if you can just trust that whatever changes are occurring right now are necessary for something better to come along, you’re already shifting the energy towards receiving something greater.

Whenever something feels challenging or hurts, it’s an opportunity to practice ways of increasing that vibration & to ask the universe for a helping hand.

Affirm: “The universe is working to support me”
Ask every single day: “Universe what could change or show up today that will support me and my greatest good?”
(Remember sometimes those changes aren’t always necessarily what we think we want, but are usually what we need)
