Aquamums holds a prenatal aqua class on Saturdays at 2.30pm.
Q: Who can come?
A: All pregnant women in second and third trimesters!
All postnatal women after 5 weeks in first postnatal year.
You don’t have to be able to swim.
All fitness levels are cared for.
If you have back pain, pelvic girdle pain, pelvic floor issues, swelling in the limbs or other musculoskeletal problems the water is wonderful.

Working with the water dumbells adds resistance for some exercises and flotation for others. They add so much to a prenatal workout. Come along and try it for yourself!

Aqua exercise is highly recommended for post natal as well as prenatal workouts. It’s good to be in the water usually about 6 weeks from delivery to start recovery and strengthening in a safe environment. The guidelines strongly suggest low impact activities for the first 6 postnatal months to protect your recovering pelvic floor and pelvic girdle joints. Aqua exercise is ideal! πŸ’¦
