Living in Melbourne, it feels like winter properly arrived last week. That need to put on the heater on rising and layering up to get outdoors being front of mind means the cold weather is here to stay for the next three months.
I used to dread the winter but I now really like it. I think the key was getting the right wardrobe to be able to do winter without feeling cold the entire time. I use this time of the year for more introspection and spending time in a warm, cozy home reading books and chilling out.
Some of you may find you experience low mood, sleep disturbances, and carb cravings at this time of the year. These symptoms may be indicative of seasonal affective disorder, which can be caused by low vitamin D and serotonin levels.
