What an incredible evening of culture, community and connection at last night’s Pasefika Career Expo.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and those that helped make it happen. The energy in the room was powerful, from the cultural performances to the conversations happening at every booth. It was a true celebration of opportunity and the strength of our Pasefika communities.

A huge thank you to our partners, exhibitors, speakers and community groups for showing up with so much heart. Your support created real pathways for young people, jobseekers and families exploring their next steps.

A big thank you to our major supporters Hume City Council, Hume Youth Services and Northwestern Local Jobs for helping bring this event together.

We also thank local MP Anasina Gray-Barberio for her support and presence, and Melbourne Storm for their ongoing support and inspiration throughout the event.

Events like this remind us why these spaces matter. When community, employers and culture come together, doors open.

With the finish line in sight, we’re still calling on more businesses to get involved. If you can offer an entry level role or traineeship, we’d love to hear from you.

Our partnership with Anchor brought young people, local businesses and our Workforce Australia participants together to revitalise the Lilydale Youth Foyer — a space that now feels more like home for its residents.

We were proud to see this project recognised in Anchor’s recently published 2024/25 Annual Report, highlighting the impact of collaboration, skills development and connection in creating opportunities for young people who have experienced homelessness.

We’re now more than halfway through our 50 Jobs for Mob in 50 Days campaign and proud to share that 23 First Nations job seekers have already been placed into meaningful employment.

This initiative is about more than numbers. It’s about creating genuine opportunities, building skills, and empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through lasting, supported employment.

With less than 20 days to go, we’re calling on more Victorian businesses to get involved and help us reach our goal of 50 placements.

If your organisation can offer an entry-level role or traineeship, we’d love to hear from you.
