Novavax COVID-19 vaccine has arrived at Medical for Everybody Aspendale Gardens!

As of 17/2/2022 in Australia, it is currently approved as a 2-dose regime, at least 3 weeks apart, for those aged 18 years and above. It has NOT been approved for use as a booster dose.

Anyone who is 5 months AFTER their 2nd dose is eligible for a COVID-19 Vaccine Booster Shot. If you are due during the Christmas period (up to Jan 3rd), you are able to have your booster shot now. Appointments available for Pfizer and Astrazeneca at Medical for Everybody Aspendale Gardens.

COVID-19 Astrazeneca Vaccine is available at Medical for Everybody Aspendale Gardens.

Eligiblity groups 1a and 1b (under 50yo people included), as well as anyone aged 50 years and over are eligible for the COVID-19 Astrazeneca Vaccine. If unsure on what group you are, visit:

Please call 03 9590 9955 to book an appointment to get the vaccine.

If you are a new patient to the clinic and have concerns regarding the vaccine, please discuss this with your regular GP or make a phone appointment with one of the GPs at Medical for Everybody Aspendale Gardens BEFORE your COVID-19 vaccine appointment.

Please note that you will be unable to receive any other vaccines for 2 weeks before and after the COVID-19 Astrazeneca vaccine - this is due to a lack of data on how the vaccine interacts with other vaccines.

to make an appointment to get your flu shot at Medical for Everybody Aspendale Gardens.

Flu shots are recommended to decrease the chance of contracting the influenza virus, transmitting the influenza virus or reduce the symptom severity if you happen to become infected with the influenza virus.

It is recommended for all people from 6 months of age. Certain Groups are funded by the National Immunisation Program and the cost of the vaccine is covered by the Australian Government. These include:
-anyone under 5 years of age
-anyone over 65 years of age
-any pregnant woman
-all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people over 6 months of age
-anyone with certain medical conditions over 6 months of age (check with your GP)

Please be aware that if you have had your COVID-19 vaccine, you will need to wait 2 weeks before getting ANY vaccine.

The COVID-19 Vaccine is coming.

In preparation for the voluntary COVID-19 vaccine, please visit your regular GP or health professional BEFORE your vaccination appointment to discuss any concerns you may have with receiving a COVID-19 vaccine.

Please note that there are very few health issues that prevent you from having the COVID-19 vaccine, but do warrant further discussion with your regular GP or health professional to consider the risks and benefits of COVID-19 vaccination.

The COVID-19 vaccine is to be rolled out via certain priority groups. Check the link below to see when you will be eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
