I created The Nerdy Coordinator because I wanted to do more for neurodiverse individuals, families, and tribes within my role as a support coordinator and social worker. My involvement with NDIS is a multi-layered one as not only am I a professional person working within the field, I am also an NDIS participant and a carer to an NDIS participant. This gives me a little bit of an insight on the exp
eriences of participants and their families. It is with this insight and my passion to support others that drives me to empower you to exercise your choice and control, to advocate for you, to strengthen your formal and informal supports, and to be the Captain to your own team of Avengers. I strive to provide neuro affirming support and I am always eager to receive feedback. A few things to know about me:
- I am an absolute Marvel, Disney, and 90's pop culture Nerd.
- I will unironically and proudly wear nerd merch.
- I have been known to break into song in the middle of a shopping center. (Sorry kids! Love you, 3000).
- I adore Car-aoke and will invite another driver to sing along with me when stuck in traffic.
- I know heaps of neurodiverse lifehacks and NDIS tips. So, are you ready? Let's Assemble!
