Did you know...

Braille was inspired by the system of night writing, which was a code used by the French military to communicate in the dark. He simplified the system by using raised dots instead of symbols. This made the code easier to learn and use, and it quickly became the standard for writing for blind people.

Braille is now used by millions of people around the world. It is a vital tool for communication, education, and employment for blind and visually impaired people.

Picnics are a wonderful way to connect with loved ones and enjoy the great outdoors.

For people with disabilities, picnics can provide a safe and inclusive environment to socialise and participate in activities that everyone can enjoy.

For elderly individuals, picnics offer a chance to get fresh air, soak up the sun, and engage in light physical activity, all of which are important for maintaining overall health and well-being.

Be sure to get out when the sun's out, and spend some time with your family.

Our Story

Welcome to Care Professionals Australia. 20 years ago a caring, compassionate and outstanding woman named Angela Dunleavy took the plunge and started a business in her spare room of her middle class home called Care Strategies. Her background in Psychiatric nursing, case management, Local Government and personal care support services helped her bring together her little business in Community Care. After many ups and downs, building networks and losing some, and a name change to Care Professionals she made it to the big 10 year mark. Did you know that only 10% of small businesses make it to 10 years? Angela was honoured to celebrate her achievement where the Mayor of Casey attended to honour the difference Angela was making in the community. She was not your average Councillor, Angela, she had something different. She had burning passion and drive to make a difference in the way we deliver care to our vulnerable members of society. On November 3rd, 2013 sadly Angela passed away suddenly in her home. The industry was devastated. Over 150 people attended her funeral, including, case managers, service coordinators, and even clients and carers. She was loved and adored by just about anyone who had the pleasure of meeting her. She truly was a wonderful spirit. Then of course the big question was, what was going to happen to Care Professionals? That is where I stood up. My name is Natalie Chrisohoidis, I am the daughter of Angela Dunleavy, and I have had the honour of working with her from when I was as young 12 years old. She she had me filing, cleaning and answering calls. I continued to work for Care Professionals throughout high school and University, I was certain I would always play a significant role at Care Professionals. After seldom deliberation in the midst of grief, shock and dedication to carry on my Mothers legacy, I took over as director of Care Professionals. It was inevitable that the business suffered as a result of its loss of its most important member. But we carried on. There were many times I wanted to give up, but with the support of my family in particular my Father and my Husband, I somehow managed to keep it all together. For such a little lady Angela gave me some pretty big boots to fill. 7 years later, here we are. Thriving and stronger than ever. The relationships we have with our clients, support coordinators and families are strong. I have naturally picked up on my mothers compassion and eagerness to make a change in peoples lives. I love what I do and although the English language couldn't possibly describe how dearly she is missed I am honoured to have stepped into her (huge) boots. My vision and mission is to provide quality and personalised care to our vulnerable members of our community and to assist those members to stay in their home with their families for as along as possible. For mum, I will honour that.

We understand the needs of an ageing population and people with disabilities and their desire to remain in their own home for as long as possible. We work closely with families, Case Managers, and support coordinators to develop and deliver a tailored care plan for each client
