📣 Big news - our podcast Extremely Human has just won the Lived Experience Led Storytelling Award at this year’s !

The judges called it “a wonderful example of how to create a container for meaningful and purposeful sharing of lived experience insights."

Co-host Lucy shared:
✨ “This podcast began with the idea of creating a platform for people’s voices to be heard. Winning the TheMHS Award feels like such a beautiful way to recognise and honour our incredible guests and the stories they’ve shared.”

If you haven’t tuned in yet, Extremely Human invites listeners into meaningful stories from people who’ve moved through big human experiences that others might not understand like psychosis, grief, addiction, euphoria or moments that feel completely unreal.

We often hear from mental health professionals that our courses help them feel more confident starting those tricky conversations at work. 🌱

At our recent spirituality panel, Tuh-MAY-toh/ Tuh-MAH-toh, which explored different perspectives on spirituality in mental health, people shared that hearing different perspectives gave them practical ideas they could take straight back into their professional setting.

It’s more than reflection - it’s about walking away with skills you can really use.

Justin McDermott shared a fresh take on psychosis at the Australian Psychosis Conference, seeing it not as something “broken,” but as the mind’s way of surviving tough experiences. 🌬️☀️
We collaborated with him to turn it into a blog!

Inspired by The North Wind and the Sun, Justin’s story shows us how real change comes from warmth, patience, and listening.
