As many of us come together to celebrate with family and friends, we encourage you to spare a thought for those working extra shifts, spending time away from loved ones, or navigating the holidays after the loss of someone special.

We acknowledge healthcare workers and first responders, often work longer hours and face unexpected time away from home. For those serving our country, deployment or duty can mean being even further from loved ones. And for older Australians in aged care, this season can bring quieter moments of separation from family and familiar routines.

This holiday season, let’s show kindness and acknowledge those who continue to serve, care and show up for others. 💜

Our thoughts and prayers are with Bondi.

We are heartbroken by yesterday’s tragic events at Bondi Beach. Our deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and to everyone affected.

For this to occur during a time of celebration for the Jewish community, in a place where thousands gather to connect and find joy, makes the loss even more devastating.

We want to thank all the first responders and emergency services who acted with courage and urgency during an incredibly difficult time.

Happy World OT Day to our wonderful Occupational Therapists! 💜

🎥 This year’s theme, “Occupational Therapy in Action,” shines a light on the incredible work OTs do every day.

Showing us a glimpse into the life of an OT is Tiarna, Senior OT & HCA Clinical Support Coordinator - from morning routines and treating residents in an aged care facility, to testing equipment for her home care clients, and refuelling with caffeine for more referrals - there’s never a dull day!

We want to thank all OTs for the amazing work they do across different settings, and for their ongoing commitment to helping people engage in meaningful activities and participation around the world.

Reflecting on an action-packed few days at the Australian Podiatry Association Conference 2025! Sean Quigley, Bri O'Brien and Michaela had a great time making valuable connections in the podiatry space and sharing how HCA is here to support podiatrists.

Over 1000 podiatrists gathered to "Unleash Potential", a powerful theme that resonated throughout every session, discussion, and connection. From innovations in footwear to the growing importance of podiatrists in aged care, we walked away with fresh insights and valuable takeaways.

Highlights included a deeply moving keynote from Tanya Hosch on inclusive healthcare, key conversations around the Aged Care Act 2024, and the latest products at the trade expo.
