🌙 Ramadan & Fitness: Empowering Women to Stay Active 🌙

As we enter the blessed month of Ramadan, maintaining a balanced routine is key! At Fitness For Her, we understand that fasting can challenge your energy levels, but staying active can help you maintain strength, flexibility, and well-being throughout the month. Here are some tips to help you stay fit during Ramadan:

1️⃣ Morning Stretch: Start your day with gentle stretching after Suhoor to activate your muscles and improve flexibility.

2️⃣ Post-Iftar Workouts: Light to moderate workouts like yoga, walking, or bodyweight exercises are perfect after Iftar to avoid overexertion.

3️⃣ Hydration is Key: Drink plenty of water between Iftar and Suhoor to stay hydrated. Add electrolytes for flavour and to help keep you hydrated longer and support your workouts.

4️⃣ Listen to Your Body: Pay attention to how you feel, and adjust your workout intensity based on your energy levels.

🍫🥒 Chocolate Chip Zucchini Loaf Recipe 🥒🍫

Thank you, Antoinette, for sharing your fresh zucchini from your garden with us!

Who says healthy can't be delicious? This zucchini loaf is the perfect balance of wholesome veggies and indulgent chocolate chips! It’s moist, tender and packed with flavour — the ideal treat for any time of the day 😋

Give it a try and enjoy a slice of this chocolatey goodness! 🍞

Recipe below

✨ Ingredients:
2 medium zucchinis, grated. Squeeze the excess moisture using a clean towel or cheesecloth
2 cups plain flour
½ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ cup shredded coconut
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon (honey if you want sweetness)
½ cup chopped nuts (I used pecan nuts)
1 cup Noshu chocolate chips (or more if you love chocolate and not watching calories 🤣)

✨ Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 175°C.

Place baking paper in a loaf pan.

In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, nuts, 1/2 the choc chips, shredded coconut and salt.

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and vanilla.

Stir in the grated zucchini, then slowly mix in the dry ingredients until combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Pour the batter into the loaf pan and bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Tip: Freeze individual slices in zip lock bags and place in freezer.
