What I’d like to do is share with you some facts about your outie, because your outie is an exemplary person.

These facts should be very pleasing.

Just relax your body, and be open to the facts.

Try to enjoy each, equally.

🚴‍♂️ Neck pain while cycling is common, but why does it happen?

It’s easy to blame your posture on the bike and the fit alone, but the reality is more complex—training load, fatigue, endurance in sustained positions, and even sleep and stress all play a role.

🔎 What the evidence says:
✅ Long durations in neck extension can lead to fatigue-related discomfort, but posture alone isn’t the cause.
✅ Training load & sudden spikes in volume are bigger predictors of pain than biomechanics.
✅ Endurance & exposure to sustained positions matter more than strength.
✅ Stress, sleep, and recovery influence pain sensitivity.

🎯 The takeaway?
Neck pain in cycling isn’t about “perfect posture”—it’s about progressive adaptation to load and sustained positions. If your discomfort persists, it might be time to look at your training volume, bike setup, and recovery strategies.

A bike fit can help you find a comfortable position to get you started, and then getting to a position that is both comfortable and fast takes time.

How it started, how it went, how it ended.

I gave the 60km Ultra Mo-Rathon everything I had. I Made it to 30km before my legs started wanting to give up, then managed another 6km lap with a mix of running and walking. From 36–42km, it was down to 400m stretches of walking and running, and after that, I tried a final lap but only managed to walk 3kms before my legs officially tapped out at 45kms.

In the end it wasn’t the full 60, it would have been easier to cover that over the whole month - but that wasn’t what this event was about. Proud of what I achieved and humbled by the experience… I could think of worse ways to complete my first (ultra)marathon.

Big thanks to everyone who has donated, came out to run, or cheered from the sidelines, and to Alexya, who was there to support me during the tough final kms.

We’re now just $115 away from hitting $5,000 for Movember. If you can chip in, even a few dollars, it’d mean the world—link below and in bio.

It’s almost time!

This Friday I begin the ~800km journey from Mt. Gambier to Horsham with Pain Revolution all in the name of providing evidence based programs to equip rural and regional communities with the skills and knowledge to prevent and effectively treat chronic pain.

BUT, I still need your support as I’m still not quite at my fundraising goal! No donation is too small, and every little bit counts in helping run these programs and help people without access to resources such as this.

[Exercises for s̶t̶r̶e̶n̶g̶t̶h̶ tolerance]

Let's redefine the narrative around exercises and discomfort. It's not a reflection of weakness; it's a journey towards greater resilience. 💪 Every movement is an opportunity to enhance our tolerance and rewrite our physical story.

🧐 If muscular weakness was the only reason you have pain, you’d think elite athletes would never get injured.

🔥 Instead of avoiding discomfort, let's embrace it as a catalyst for transformation.
It’s not just about getting stronger - we're evolving into versions of ourselves that can withstand more, endure more, and ultimately, thrive more.

🌟 So here's to the process, the sweat, and the temporary discomfort that leads to lasting strength. It's not about avoiding pain; it's about rewriting its role in our story.

[THE REALITY OF REHAB]

📈📉It's not always a smooth, linear journey. There may be times when you experience setbacks or flare-ups, and that's completely normal.

🌻 What truly matters is your resilience and the way you approach these moments. Trusting the process means understanding that it's okay to have ups and downs. It's a part of the journey.

❤️ Be kind to yourself, especially durning times of doubt. Self-compassion can be your greatest ally. Instead of ruminating on setbacks, focus on how far you've come

✨ Remember, it's not about perfection; it's about progress. Embrace the journey, and keep moving forward. 💪

💵Still looking at your pain with a get rich quick approach?

🎰You could probably make some quick cash by playing the slot machines, but that’s probably not a great long term strategy.

💊There’s nothing wrong with wanting relief from pain, but if all you’re doing is looking for the quick-fix, you probably need a better long term strategy.

Find what’s sustainable for you and be consistent over the long term.

Half marathon done! ✅

Super happy to have run my first ever half marathon this morning.

I had set a goal of 6minute kms, but if I was able to get a total time of under 2hrs I would have been even happier.

As it turned out though I was able to squeeze out a 1:47 with the help of:
🥶 A nice 3degree morning.
🏃Some solid pacing / s**t talking from .padarcic and .
🥳 and Race day excitement

However the best part of it all is seeing so many runners of all sorts of abilities, ages and fitness levels get out there and just run!

Big thanks also go to my wife and coach Cleo for supporting me and putting up with my running schedule over the last 12 weeks.

Ok, now it’s time to get back on the bike again.
