Have you ever held a Maccabiah torch? Our residents have.
The official Maccabiah – מכביה Games torch visited Emmy on its way to Israel this week.
At Emmy Monash, we’re proud to create moments that connect our residents to community, culture and meaning.
Not every aged care facility offers experiences like this - for residents, holding the torch was more than symbolic, it was a chance to feel part of a shared legacy, of Jewish strength and pride.

As technology reshapes aged care, we have a rare opportunity to redefine what it means to age—with dignity, connection, and possibility. These initiatives, however, fall outside government funding. That’s where your generosity can make a profound difference.

The stories our residents hold are nothing short of extraordinary. Yesterday, we had the privilege of learning about the memoir of one such remarkable woman. Nora’s life story of a childhood spent in China, was shared with grace and love by her daughters. We are so proud to care for these residents and learn about their journeys.

One Emmy resident said it best: “I’m enjoying this event, but I’m enjoying the company more❤️”.
As the Festival of Shavuot begins, joy is in full bloom at Emmy.
As part of our Bridging the Gap program, residents welcomed Year 9 students from Mount Scopus Memorial College for a festive round of intergenerational bingo, topped off with a build-your-own ice cream bonanza.

Where do we begin?
That’s one of the most common questions families ask when navigating residential aged care.
Last week, guests heard Rodney and Michael Horin from Clarity Aged Care Advisors. They shared practical advice on what to expect, how the system works, and where to start.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and to the Emmy Monash Foundation for making this session possible.
