I have begun 2024 learning Oncology Massage with Oncology Massage Limited. It blows me away learning about the scientifically proven benefits of massage and how our cells respond to how we THINK AND FEEL.

You may have heard of feel good endorphins that are released in the body when we LAUGH, CRY, RECEIVE AFFECTION, DO MINDFULNESS, CONNECT WITH NATURE AND EXPERIENCE TOUCH. I must also mention EXERCISE as well!

Every cell in our body has a receptor for these 'Feel Good' endorphins which in turn feeds your cell and boosts your IMMUNE SYSTEM! WOW!

The particular endorphin I am referring to is one called Anandamide which translates to mean BLISS (Ananda) in Sanskrit.

Feeling Bliss in our body literally feeds our immune system when experienced naturally. For me it was counterintuitive to think crying could also create the same feel good result for our body, but going through the motions and releasing it ALSO activates ANANADMIDE (Bliss endorphins) in the body.

To know more on this: American neuroscientist and pharmacologist Candace Beebe Pert was the founder of this work.

Sometimes you need a reset, like a mobile phone that is glitching out. Turn it off and on or do a software update.

Today I recalibrated my system with a deep meditation guided with sound by Mirella Petrucci.

I felt I had deep rest. Much more needed than I knew.

Sometimes deep rest is all that’s needed.

Just like they say “have you tried turning it off and on again…?”
