Individuals living with disabilities often require extra support for day-to-day tasks, but if their disability isn't visible, it can be difficult to spot.

Thankfully, there exists a fantastic initiative – the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower – designed to help highlight visible disabilities, increasing visibility and making it easier for those affected to access the help they need!

Raynaud’s (sounds like “RAY-nose”) phenomenon is a circulation condition that often affects people with scleroderma. As you may already know, it makes your
fingers and toes feel numb and cold.

It's the most common early symptom of scleroderma, and is present at one time or another in about
90% of people with scleroderma.

Remember - it's important to seek medical advice if you have any concerns regarding Raynaud’s! Early treatment may lead to better outcomes.

Scleroderma Australia will be challenging supporters to participate in the Icy Hands Challenge™ to replicate the feeling of Raynaud’s Phenomenon. A condition that causes reduced blood flow to the hands and feet causing coldness, pain and restricted mobility. 90% of people with Scleroderma have Raynaud’s.

The launch is on Saturday December 4 2021, at 2 pm, via Zoom. You can attend this event by registering on Eventbrite.
