Exploring Kinglake on our weekly Wellness Wednesday social group 🚶
During the warmer months we are lucky to get outdoors, get in some exercise and stay active for our wellness activity.
Staying active can sometimes be challenging for people with disability due to physical barriers, fatigue, confidence, access issues, or a lack of motivation when doing things alone. These challenges can make it harder to get out, try new activities, or maintain a regular routine.
Participating in activities as part of a group can make a huge difference. Group settings provide encouragement, shared motivation and a sense of belonging, making movement feel more enjoyable and achievable. Being active together also builds confidence, social connection and accountability, helping participants feel supported while working towards their goals in a positive and inclusive way.
