We couldn’t wipe the smiles off the children’s faces at the zoo during our holiday program! 🦖😁
Meeting the dinosaurs was definitely the highlight — they were amazed, a little bit shocked, and absolutely loving every moment.
From roaring T-Rexes to towering Brachiosauruses, it was a prehistoric adventure they won’t forget anytime soon! 🌿🦕

💜 Today is World Mental Health Day 💜
This year, we’re shining a light on the Inside Our Minds campaign — celebrating the experiences and strengths of neurodiverse people and reminding our community that mental health looks different for everyone.
The theme “Mental health is a universal human right” reminds us that everyone deserves understanding, inclusion, and access to support — no matter how their mind works. 🌈
At Y Whittlesea, we’re proud to create spaces where people feel seen, supported and accepted — from our inclusion and recreation programs to our school and early learning centres. Let’s keep the conversation going, listen without judgement, and make mental health support truly for all. 💬

Camp activities like fishing and hut building take time, preparation and decision making. They give campers and Y support workers opportunities to build trust and confidence to achieve their goals.

“I have ADHD and autism, I don’t think I would be able to create them if I wasn’t neurodivergent.”
In honour of Mental Health Week, the Y has launched the SEVENTH year of our award-winning “Inside Our Minds” series.
This year, we’re shining a light on neurodivergence, celebrating the unique perspectives and experiences of young people whose minds work beautifully differently.
Their stories are raw, honest, and powerful reminders that there is no single way to experience the world. Together, we’re breaking down stigmas and opening up conversations that matter. You are not alone. 💙🌟
