In short: FlameTree: the personal development & healing system is a state-of-the-art bio-energetic medicine system, supported by scienctific theories (e.g. emotions, memories, thoughts, past life situations, etc.) within a person’s BodyMind Complex that are adversely impacting the natural healing communications of the person’s body, as directed by the client’s innate wisdom. How does it locate these charged events? FlameTree uses you, your innate wisdom, to answer ‘yes’ or ‘no’ through a myocyte tendon reflex following the FlameTree protocol. Through this, we are able to identify what your innate requires and the techniques necessary to assist you release these energetic charges, thereby opening you up to the possibility that you can achieve lasting inner peace, personal development and healing. FlameTree empowers you to access your innate ability to heal yourself. Dr. George Dellas (Chinese Medicine) uses FlameTree as his foundational healing system to holistically integrate his skill base and to assist you in identifying what is priority for you, as does In Focus’s other certified FlameTree healer, Gabrielle Besser. You can read more about why George and Gabi use FlameTree on our Home Page and on our In Focus Team Page, that is if you have not already done so ☺. In Detail: You may also wish to go to the official FlameTree website at www.theflametreesystem.com and read more there as well as having the opportunity to downloading a free e-book from the founder, Dr. Rhett Ogston (DCM). An updated list of public measles exposure sites in Victoria has been released. If you are experiencing symptoms, please check the exposure sites to see if you may have been in contact with the virus.

What are the symptoms of measles?

The first signs of measles typically appear about 10 days after exposure and can include:

Fever

Fatigue or feeling generally unwell

Cough

Runny nose

Sore, red eyes (conjunctivitis)

Diarrhoea (especially in infants)

Swollen lymph nodes

Koplik spots (tiny white, grey, or bluish spots inside the mouth)

A few days later, a red, non-itchy rash will develop, usually starting on the face and neck before spreading down the body. This rash typically lasts for 4 to 7 days.

How is measles spread?

People with measles are infectious from 24 hours before symptoms start until 4 days after the rash appears. The virus can survive for up to 2 hours in the air or on surfaces, meaning you can become infected just by being in the same room as someone with measles.

What is the treatment for measles?

There is no specific treatment for measles, as it is a viral illness and antibiotics are ineffective. Recovery can take a few weeks. If you have measles, it is recommended to:

Isolate at home

Rest

Drink plenty of fluids

Manage your fever

Buddy’s officially in therapy dog training! 🐾

For the past ten months, he’s been quietly learning the basics – travelling with me to the clinic, settling in the treatment room, and meeting people in a calm, predictable way. Now, he’s starting structured therapy dog training to ensure his role remains safe, ethical, and clearly within my scope of practice.

Buddy is becoming an integral part of my treatments. His role is to gently support the nervous system work that underpins so much of what we do together – whether it’s acupuncture, herbal and nutritional support, manual therapy, or the simple regulation practices I share in Breaking Beta.

When the body begins to feel a little less in 'survival mode,' it may become more open to responding to care.

You’ve probably seen him around the clinic, quietly getting used to the sounds, travel, and rhythm of sessions. Now, he’s taking the next step to become a therapy dog!

Buddy’s role isn’t to “fix” anything – it’s to help your nervous system feel safer and more settled. This creates a calmer foundation for treatments like acupuncture, naturopathy, bodywork, and the ideas I share in Breaking Beta.

We’re so excited to have him on this journey with us!

Are you stuck in survival mode? 🧠🌱

Chronic pain is not just physical—it is often influenced by stress, emotions and nervous system patterns. In Breaking Beta, I explore how to move from a “beta state” (survival and stress) towards a calmer, more regulated “alpha state”.

Drawing on over 30 years of clinical experience, current neuroscience and natural therapies, this book offers practical tools to support your wellbeing.

✨ Inside you’ll find:
* Practical mindfulness and breathing practices to explore
* Insights into how the nervous system processes pain
* Holistic strategies that may support longer‑term regulation

It is not about quick fixes, but about gently reconnecting with your body’s own capacity for ease over time.

📖 Ready to explore a different perspective on pain and stress?
