Did you know that the Midsumma Festival is happening this Sunday? Our friends from Self Help Addiction Resource Centre - SHARC will be at one of the booths, chatting about all of the important work that they do. Come along and say hi!

Will you be at Midsumma Festival this Sunday? We will be.

Keep your eyes peeled for SHARC. We will have a booth with merch, flyers on our programs, and some lovely SHARC staff and volunteers ready to chat about all the work we do - from peer support and workforce development to advocacy opportunities, programs for families, and much more.

Come along, grab some goodies, or just say hello. We will be located close to the first aid tent at the main stage area.

❗Holiday Closure Information
Support and connection for families, carers and supporters is available over the holiday period. We will remain open on weekdays, with the exception of 25 December, 26 December and 1 January. We will remain open for appointments and drop-ins between Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm from our Ivanhoe site only.

For support during this time, please call our Peer Support Phone line on 8850 4150 during business hours. If you are requiring crisis support during this period, please contact Lifeline on 13 11 14. In an emergency, please call 000.

The Moon's a Balloon community choir is a group we have been supporting for over a year. It has created a safe and creative space for families and carers, filled with the sound of joy. This year, the choir will be performing their Christmas show at Ragtime Tavern in Preston. Friends and family are warmly invited to attend, with free pizza provided for Christmas dinner afterwards.

Come and join us for a morning of self-care and joy, followed by delicious food to share.

We have chair yoga for all ages and physical needs, and a short meditation. Followed by a beautiful singing session called ‘Finding your Voice’. No singing experience needed.

Today North East Metro Connect held a special event for National Carers Week - Split Fiction - an art exhibition/storytelling opportunity where families/carers shared their artworks and the inspiration for their creativity. A joint initiative between North East Metro Connect, Wellways and Mind Australia , our Ivanhoe site hosted around forty people who came together to celebrate carers and all that they do for the community.
