Harvest, prepare and connect! In this end of year gardening session, our amazing facilitator Melissa will walk us through how to care for your garden, especially during the holiday period. We will also revisit a few gardening topics to help keep our thumbs green well into 2026!

Today North East Metro Connect held a special event for National Carers Week - Split Fiction - an art exhibition/storytelling opportunity where families/carers shared their artworks and the inspiration for their creativity. A joint initiative between North East Metro Connect, Wellways and Mind Australia , our Ivanhoe site hosted around forty people who came together to celebrate carers and all that they do for the community.

On Wednesday 1st October, North East Metro Connect will be collaborating with Little Dreamers Australia to bring young carers to an inner-city adventure in Melbourne! Fun activities, connections, yummy lunch and a safe space to share your stories!

Activities include mystery games @ The Mystery Rooms Fitzroy and a
3D film @ IMAX.

YouthFest is an annual event that celebrates young people and youth culture, proudly hosted by Banyule Youth Services. The event regularly has several thousand young people attend across the day – including young people who take part as volunteers, performers, and stallholders. North East Metro Connect will be hosting a stall along with Austin FaPMI, Little Dreamers and Satellite Foundation providing fun activities, information and goodies!

YouthFest is an event created by young people, for young people.
