Feeling grateful for a wonderful time meeting many different people at the Brunswick Wellness Event today. And what a beautiful space the Brunswick Town Hall is! A very heartfelt thank you to Ying & Darren who noticed a need and organised this community event! I feel lucky to have met them and been invited to be be part of this wholesome event. I enjoyed sharing my practice and offering some art making space for the community 🎨🫶

I loved how people embraced the art making and also connected with themselves and others over conversation. I feel very grateful to have met some new people today. And connecting with other people who offer supports that focus on mental health, wellbeing and wellness.

It’s the first community event I’ve attended with my art therapy practice. I really enjoyed it and know others got a lot out of the whole event. The offerings were beautiful. Yoga, sound healing, meditation & breathing workshops.

So important to connect with each other and come together 😊 We learn through doing! This is something I came away reflecting on.

My mood feels so great after all this connecting and making art.

Thank you to my friends who also came along.

Love & light 🎨🌺🙏🏻🌱✨🫶

Life feels like ripples.

Like art-making, it’s the process that matters most — more than the final story told about us. Though that matters too.
We rarely get to see how far our words, actions, and relationships travel… how deeply they touch others… how they continue, like ripples on water, long after the moment has passed.
Everything is connected.
So I try to live with integrity and compassion — knowing I’ll never fully understand what someone else is carrying.
To stay curious. To soften into empathy.
To keep becoming more self-aware, more reflective.
To heal where I can.
To ask for support.
To learn how to sit with difficult emotions.
To trust myself — even in uncertainty.
To offer kindness — to others, and to myself.
To hold hope, not just for me, but for all of us.
To slow down.
Because in the end, what lives on isn’t just memory — it’s the feeling of us… held in the hearts, minds, and bodies of those we’ve touched.
We may never know the full reach of our ripple.
But it matters.
Grateful to be here, sharing this human experience on this beautiful Earth.
May we choose connection over division.
Humanity, always 🤍

A very important topic! Please listen. Please share. 🙏🏻💗

When a violent crime makes the news, mental illness is often part of the story. But how that story is told, the words chosen, the details included, the connections drawn, has consequences that ripple far beyond the news cycle. For people living with schizophrenia or psychosis, irresponsible reportin...

This testimonial from Dr Catherine-the Director of Alevia Medical Weight Loss Clinic is really incredible 🩵 It’s been an amazing learning opportunity and gift to work with patients from Alevia Clinic and people who have also joined from the community. I feel like it’s been a wonderful opportunity getting to work so closely with Catherine and develop a monthly online Art Therapy group called Reclaiming Self! This group really grew from my own lived experience. It’s been such a generous yet gentle and supportive group. We have explored a variety of themes and it’s an ongoing group so please check out the link if you are interested to come along. Thanks so much, Catherine for really nurturing me and this group and for caring so much about the people you support!! 😄🎨🙏🏻

Introducing Zeva Art Therapy

Hello I am Zeva the Artist and Art Therapist behind Zeva Art Therapy. I use art for myself to express and make meaning of the world around me. This is a site to show what I've been working on in different creative forms. Including graphic art, mixed media/collage, resin, painting, watercolour, drawing, poetry and photography. Art revitalises me and brings me joy and pride. I love colours and texture. I’m inspired by so much. Often simple things like a pastel turquoise, a leaf, a rose petal, a person or the sound of a bird chirping. Im drawn to beauty and am very curious, mindful and reflective.

I work as a therapist with children and adults, helping them to express their experiences and feelings, offering a variety of materials. I also work multi modally which is a term used to describe not only visual arts but other creative expressions. Other forms include; music, drama, yoga, movement, poetry, sand play and dance. It brings me great satisfaction empowering others to understand and express their experiences and enabling them to take steps for change in the future. In creating a safe, nurturing and respectful space I honour the power of being seen and heard completely. In being present to another, I am able to offer them a healing space, where there is containment yet freedom for them to be themselves and reflect. I have been witness to the beautiful magic of Arts therapy, both professionally and personally, and I know it can be a gentle, restorative and transformative process.

Art making is fun and has become a daily ritual in my life and it makes room for soothing and self care. Life without art would be very dull and I’m grateful everyday for how art makes me feel so alive and positive.
