Emotional Growth was founded in 2011 with the ideals as an independent service to support our community, our families, our children in the greater life journey. It was established by psychologist Faye Evans, who aspired and strived to assist parents and children build “Connection, Communication and Care” to create enduring relationships.
By 2012, EG became a reality. It’s mission is to build family relationships, enable nurturing communication, embrace growth mindset, a strong sense of self and fully commit to all life challenges, empowering individual’s towards continuous self-development.
Our first foundation commenced in 2014-2018 at Moonee Ponds, throughout this time EG delivered high quality and evidence based psychological services to seniors, adults, couples, youth, children and parents, to which we continually achieve in our everyday services. EG’s, team provides care, nurture, embraces challenges, and enhances people’s life through counselling.
Our services have further expanded to provide a range of services including educational and autism assessments, social thinking groups for teens and children, parenting presentations, anxiety groups, self-empowerment workshops, mindfulness self-compassion groups and mother-baby groups.
In 2019 we have moved to our new home at Avondale Heights, and are embracing our new stage at EG, with a larger space, more equipment, a specialised Play therapy room, and an experienced, supportive, knowledgeable team.
In this stage we integrate the principles of the neuroscience of relationships, playtherapy, EMDR, attachments based interventions, schema therapy and brain based parenting.
