It can sometimes seem like an unattainable goal in motherhood. But let's try to make this a non-negotiable in our day.
It might only be a mindful minute or two here and there.

Let's look after the mums, so the mums can look after the babies!!!!

Step 1:
Get comfortable, don't twist your spine, relax your shoulders and jaw

Step 2:
Bring your baby to the breast, not your breast to the baby. Think of it like a big deep hug, rather than forcing their head into the breast.

Step:
Try to avoid holding your breast if possible. Keep your thumbs nice and relaxed.

Step 4:

It's OK to trust your instincts.
If you're mentally well, they're usually pretty spot-on.

Oversupply or hyperlactation can cause troubles with blocked ducts, mastitis, an unsettled baby and latching difficulties. It's also quite a common reason for breastfeeding refusal.
If you're concerned that you may have an oversupply, please come in for a chat. There's so much we can do to help!

All our obstetric patients have access to our postnatal care program in collaboration with Maternal and Infant Wellbeing Melbourne, a boutique women’s health and perinatal clinic aimed at nurturing women and babies throughout the perinatal period.

There are a variety of care packages to choose from, including an exclusive price for the luxury day stay experience, mummy and me massages, online or in-clinic early parenting, sleep and settling guidance, private mum and bub pilates classes, and baby carrying consultations.

Our sensory class this term has been so popular we’ve decided to add an additional class next term. Classes start 19th July.
