Just before I've jetted off on a long overdue holiday... I dropped off our equipment at the national champs venue and the setup is looking awesome!

I was lucky to bump into this legend and had a quick chat. Really excited to see how things have been taking off for the Federation and grateful for the opportunities it presents. He will be doing a killer job announcing across the weekend and sad I'll miss it!

Definitely keen for the next one and future adventures while trying to lift the standard of medical coverage within our sport of powerlifting. Best of luck to all the athletes competing this weekend. You'll be in great hands with .physio representing us πŸ™ŒπŸ™

Geno I hope you have a great time down under and will probably bump into again sooner than later as the sport continues to grow πŸ’ͺ. Was a pleasure meeting you

ESM business update from πŸ‘‹

Over the last 2 years working as a solo clinician I have been focused on developing an industry-leading healthcare service. This service aims to address all the common issues faced by both patients and clinicians across the healthcare industry.

To achieve this I have had to build the necessary systems and processes to ensure that the foundations of the service set us up for success. This has taken a lot of time and refinement but ultimately we have developed and now implemented a proven model that has been very successful and well-received.

This refinement has led to a steady growth in the number of people we serve and thus we are now lucky to welcome .physio to the ESM team to help us continue to grow. James is a talented physiotherapist with a strong background in strength and conditioning. He has the right values and mindset to be a great asset to the ESM team and we look forward to seeing his continued growth and development as he moves forward within the company.

To kick off this exciting new chapter of development, we will be expanding our consulting space within the new facility πŸ‘Œ

I'm very proud of what I have been able to achieve so far and am excited for the new journey we are embarking on as a team at

With the recent changes to restrictions in Victoria, in-person consultations are able to resume for all individuals. We will be following our COVIDSafe Plan for these bookings.
Screening for coronavirus:
Individuals will be required to inform us of any symptoms (fever, runny nose, sore throat, cough, chills or sweats, shortness of breath, loss of sense of smell or taste) or close contacts with suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19 prior to attending. Temperature checks will also be taken prior to entry. Anyone with symptoms or a recent close contact will be required to have an online consultation unless cleared. This is to ensure everyone's safety using our services and to help prevent any spreading.
Online consultations are still available for those who prefer or need to based on your circumstances.

Firstly we would like to thank our dedicated clients who continue to pursue their rehabilitation goals during these unprecedented times. πŸ™

Although we are remaining open, there will be some changes occurring with in-person consultations. In compliance with the DHHS, we will be conducting most of our physiotherapy consultations online.

In-person consultations are only allowed to proceed in circumstances where it is essential to "prevent a significant change/deterioration in functional independence necessitating escalation of care". This does not mean that care should be stopped. The DHHS advises not to "put off getting medical care", thus care/rehab should continue online.

We will carefully consider each individual on a case-by-case basis to determine what is best. Should an in-person consultation be essential, we have a COVID Safe Plan in place to follow.

We are still open and taking new clients. If you need help or have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch to discuss how we can assist you during this time. πŸ™Œ

Stay safe and take care

I have been seeing a lot healthcare business making the switch to an online model. And I'm actually really excited to see what this does for our industry! πŸ™Œ
Currently, a lot of clinics rely heavily on hands-on treatment or "technologies" to achieve their patient outcomes. This will not be possible anymore in an online platform. Clinicians will need to bridge this gap with targeted education and specific exercise prescription πŸ’ͺ
This hand-off approach is something I am very passionate about and have been providing to patients for most of my career. To me (and the research) it provides patients with a more empowering and effective treatment approach πŸ‘
In light of the current global situation, I'm thinking of creating some content to post that looks into this hands-off model. I can explain how it can be highly effective for patients, how it can be implemented by clinicians and any questions inbetween πŸ€”
If this sounds like something you would be interested in learning about - let me know in the comments and add any questions you have! ‡️ I can get started next week

It's been a crazy week for myself and the business, as I'm sure it has been for everyone else.
Inspired by post - I need to pivot my plans to make the most of this downtime.
I've swapped from in-person to online consultations and completely changed my focus for the coming months.
The online consultations have been a lot of fun, especially with getting creative to perform certain clinical tests.
My goals have shifted towards investing a lot of time into developing other systems and process for the business which I had originally planned to do in quarter 4. These will set me up well for expansion in the future.
Given the dynamic nature of the current global situation, I need to be adaptable and quick to action things. This will be my biggest challenge in quarter 2, to keep things going and to set myself up well for when some normality returns. I'm trying to find a balance between what is needed short term and working on projects that will pay off down the track.
What is your change in focus moving forward? What is your pivot? ‡️

Yesterday I had the opportunity to be on 30 Life Crisis hosted by Dr Steven Enticott πŸ™Œ
It was a great chance to share a bit of my story about starting my own physio business and my plans into the future.
I have very ambitious goals πŸ˜…, but might as well aim for the stars πŸ’ͺ
Always grateful to for giving me the opportunity which started it all
Have a watch and let me know what you think πŸ™

Medical doctors are the ones on the front line. They are our infantry in this war against COVID-19 πŸ’ͺ
If they are the infantry, then first contact practitioners like physios, chiros and osteos surely are their support staff πŸ™
For most problems you have with your body that is causing significant pain or disability, we probably have you covered! Just ask πŸ™‹β€β™‚οΈ
Some patients still seek the aid of a medical doctor before other appropriate first contact practitioners. Now is not the time to be doing that πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ
Let's keep the front lines free to fight the war for all of us. Helping you with problems that aren't immediately life threatening is what physios, chiros and osteos do best, particularly for musculoskeletal issues. (We do also cover a range of non-musculoskeletal conditions and injuries too!)
So please, support us, to support them. They want to see people who are sick, not a sore neck/back or even nerve pain!
If you know anyone who generally sees a doctor first, let them know we can help too πŸ™Œ
If our services are not appropriate or further investigation is required, we are trained to identify this and refer on appropriately πŸ‘¨β€βš•οΈ
Spare the doctors, choose physios, chiros or osteos first. πŸ‘..online preferably (you will be surprised how good it is!) πŸ™

Speed is key, those who don't act fast, will be left behind πŸ’¨
Although difficult, it is important to take action now to prepare for later. The crisis we are all going through will continue to echo well into the future, and we can't be caught doing nothing 😣
Take a moment to review, reflect and plan things into the future. What can you do now that will pay off later? πŸ€”
There's always opportunity in adversity πŸ™. However this can be difficult to see through all the stress and emotion.
Can you take action on something for your career/business, professional/personal development, your hobbies/wellbeing, those tasks that never get done, for your family/friends and community? Do something now to benefit yourself in the future πŸ‘
The challenge is finding a way to start to take those steps forward. The faster your can take action, the more it will pay off. Let's do this! πŸ’ͺ
If you are struggling to get going and move forward, reach out! Support is there and someone can help give you that starting nudge πŸ‘
I'd love to hear what you are working on now down below in the comments ‡️
