Lifeview homes and the corporate office have recently marked IDAHOBIT – the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia 🏳️‍🌈

Observed on May 17th, IDAHOBIT commemorates the day in 1990 when the World Health Organization declassified homosexuality as a mental disorder – a milestone in the journey toward equality.

As a proudly Rainbow Tick-accredited organisation, Lifeview strives to create an inclusive, safe and welcoming space for everyone. Residents and staff have made heartfelt pledges on how we will support equality, kindness and respect in our daily lives. 🫶✨

🏳️‍🌈🌈 What a Weekend of Pride! 🏳️‍🌈🌈

Lifeview staff came together in record numbers on Sunday to march in the Midsumma Pride March — our biggest turnout yet! 🎉

Despite the heat, nothing could dampen our spirits. The day was filled with smiles, laughter, and a whole lot of Pride! 🌞💖

The annual Midsumma Festival Carnival Day is one of our team's favourite events on the calendar.

The iconic day highlights the opening weekend of the fabulous three-week .

We were thrilled to once again join the celebration of in the beautiful Alexandra Gardens along the Yarra River in the CBD.

We are immensely proud of our status and our ongoing Foundation Partnership with our great friends at Victorian Pride Centre

Residents and staff are now looking forward to continuing to celebrate Midsumma on Sunday Feb 2 at the !

Join us for a fun day Sunday at the annual Midsumma Festival Carnival (in the Alexandra Gardens, beside the Yarra River in Melbourne's CBD).

Swing by the Lifeview stall to find out about our proud Rainbow Tick status, our exciting Lifeview Marigold development in the heart of Prahran (Australia’s first LGBTI+ and friends aged care community), and lots more.

A very special Marigold Lunch today with the fabulous Sally Goldner AM joining Lifeview residents for a chat and to answer questions.

The lunch was a great opportunity for residents from multiple Lifeview homes to come together at Willow Wood for the special get-together.

Lifeview was the first private aged care provider to achieve Rainbow Tick accreditation and has been a Foundation partner of the Victorian Pride Centre since 2019.

🌈☕Memory Lane Cafe returns to the Pride Centre on Tuesday, July 16.

In partnership with Dementia Australia and Founding Major Partners, Lifeview, this innovative program offers a supportive space for individuals within the LGBTIQ+ community, allies, and their families, friends, and caregivers who are affected by dementia.

Guests can enjoy entertainment and light refreshments while socialising and fostering connections. Trained staff and volunteers from Dementia Australia will be available to provide support and engage in meaningful conversations.

Marigold Circle helps celebrate Lifeview's commitment as a proudly Rainbow Tick accredited provider of residential aged care, and reminds that we are always a safe and supportive space for LGBTIQ+ residents, staff and friends. We are proactive about living and celebrating Pride every day in all homes. Residents for this activity designed Pride t-shirts. And they're extremely talented and creative! 🏳️‍🌈🌈💙💚
