These are great for a baby and their development, including cognition, sensory and visual skills.
As milestones are reached and eye sight is established a baby will slowly begin to focus, pick up on bold contrasts, notice shapes and colours, and follow through with recognition of facial expressions and imitation of sounds.

These cards can be used for different ages and stages and a great tummy time activity:
✔ Attention - lay baby down and place card in front drawing attention.
✔ Tracking- move card vertically and horizontally infront of baby to draw attention and track.
✔ Look and Listen - show cards to baby and make sounds and actions to demonstrate the visual.

It can often be hard for children to navigate the natural changes that take place in our lives on a constant basis. This is where pre-warning, tactile tools, resources and social stories come into play to help them know and better understand the process. This can allow for a smoother transition for both child and parent/carer.

We love our recent purchase of the boxes as we are learning to understand and experience the first of many wobbly teeth to come.

Thank you for the most gorgeous toothfairy boxes! Definitely a keep sake for the kids and adding to those precious childhood memories in the process.

As we have found ourselves back in lockdown and online schooling, here are some quick tips to make it a smoother process, which can also be applied to getting organised for homework tasks at home or in the classroom:

*Have a print out of the timetable or expected tasks so children know what to expect
*Use of a visual timer to know the start and end of each lesson or task
*Make sure to schedule in breaks

Packing boxes....greatest source of entertainment. Kids have already called it a maze, built a castle, played hide and seek, gone on a treasure hunt and built a cubby house! The sound of pure happiness and giggles is epic and their imaginations running wild! Who can spot the child 🤣? Clue: 👣👣👣

When on holiday the present fairy may just come to visit much to the excitement of the kids! 🧚‍♀️🧚‍♂️🧚‍♀️🧚‍♂️
The best incentive we could have to practice our handwriting skills, adding an element of grasp, pencil control, drawing and colouring as the kids wrote a note to the fairy for some special holiday prizes to play with!

Wow! What a year it has been. Can't believe we are sitting down and writing this post that school is out, with another year of learning done and dusted! This year may have looked different to what anyone could have ever imagined, but upon reflection there has been a lot of personal growth and new goals defined for everyone! Wishing everyone a happy and safe holiday this summer.
