The healing aroma of herbs brewing in a clay pot regularly wafted through the house. This upbringing gave me access to both “worlds” as we had a family Chinese Medicine doctor and a family GP. Ailments such as cold and flu, various pain conditions and skin problems were regularly treated with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. I bring this lived experience into my practice with an understanding of the dynamic relationship between these 2 culturally distinct approaches to health and view of our world. My ongoing journey into my cultural heritage led me into the study and practice of Chinese Medicine. I completed a Double Degree in Chinese Medicine and Applied Science at RMIT University in Melbourne. I lived in China and undertook internships at Nanjing’s Jiangsu Provincial Chinese Medicine Hospital and Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine, worked alongside moxa specialist Dr Tao Kun at Jun He Tang clinic and studied under the late Master Dr Wang Ju Yi at his Applied Channel Theory Research Center in Beijing. The human centered approach of Chinese Medicine inspires me to connect with people. As a practicing Zen Buddhist, I provide a calm and open environment for my patients to achieve their health goals. I love seeing patients leave with the confidence they gain from a clearer understanding of themselves and their body. I treat a broad range of conditions such as musculoskeletal pain (acute & chronic), cold and flu, digestive issues and gynecological conditions including infertility, menopause, and menstrual issues. In addition to acupuncture, I incorporate Tuina (Chinese massage), cupping, moxibustion and Chinese herbal medicine into my treatments. I have a particular interest in treating mental health as I understand that a person’s mental state is intimately linked with their physical condition. I can speak Cantonese and Mandarin, so if you’re more comfortable speaking these languages please let me know. Bachelor of Applied Science (Chinese Medicine)
