St John of God Berwick Hospital is proud to offer a free Community Wig Service to support individuals in the local community experiencing cancer-related hair loss.
Available to anyone in the community suffering from cancer-related hair loss – whether they are a patient at the hospital or not – the service provides a compassionate, confidential and personalised experience in a welcoming environment.
The Community Wig Service allows individuals to select from a wide range of high-quality wigs, helping to restore confidence and dignity during what can be an emotionally challenging time.
The service is run by a team of dedicated caregivers and trained volunteers who understand the impact hair loss can have on someone’s wellbeing.
“Having experienced hair loss myself during treatment, I know how important it is to feel like yourself again,” said Wig Service Coordinator, Dianne Hatch. “We’re here to offer support, kindness, and help people find a wig that makes them feel comfortable and confident.”
Appointments are essential, and additional times may be available on Thursdays upon request.
Bookings can be made by phoning (03) 8784 5600 or emailing berwick.wiglibrary@sjog.org.au
