WHY
So what’s the event all about?
5 years ago I had wanted to organise a ride and try to get 500 Harley rider's together for a fun day out. Back then I was also involved with Bridge Builders Youth Organisation in Lilydale, Vic, and thought that together we could create this event as a way to involve the youth and at the same time raise funds for them to ensure that Bridge Builders can carry ou
t their awesome work of helping young people overcome any obstacles they may have and helping them to build resilience into their lives. Not long after we started work on creating this unique event my partner was diagnosed with breast cancer, boy that really can take the wind out of your sails. My partner ended up having a couple of small operations and treatment at the Maroondah Breast Clinic in Ringwood and the help they gave was fantastic. Myself and Phil, CEO of Bridge Builders, then decided that we would also distribute a percentage of any funds received to the Maroondah Breast Clinic, Ringwood via the Eastern Health Foundation. We welcome your donations. 5 years on we are very proud of the event and all that it has accomplished and as of 2015 we are welcoming not only Harley's but all riders to gather together in support of these two fantastic charities that do such great work for the community. Thanks
