Meet our 6-year-old patient from Galway University Hospital. He was experiencing anxiety before the procedure and wouldn’t let any nursing staff near him. After trying the Smileyscope relax programs, they were able to complete a blood draw using the therapy program, without him moving his arm once! 🧸✨🍃💗☘️

Congratulations to Professor Bronwyn Griffith, Kristen Storey and team for their newly published study in Journal of Advanced Nursing!🎉Their work using Smileyscope shows meaningful reductions in pain and anxiety in kids during burn dressings, with big thumbs up from patients, parents, and clinicians alike. 👍A fantastic step forward in non-pharmacological kids burns care!

While our study included patients, parents and clinicians as research participants, there was no patient or public contribution in the design or conduct of the study, analysis or interpretation of the data.
