COVID has changed the way we work and on Q+A it was discussed whether Australia would follow the US into a "great resignation" but as the bulk of the show dealt in hypotheticals, the reality for workers with a disability was laid bare in a case that panellist Eliza Hull labelled "pure discrimination".

Whether Australia endures a "great resignation" remains a future issue but issues of workplace discrimination and gender equality are placed squarely in the spotlight on a Q+A that ends with some sad news.

Our story

AED Legal Centre is a specialist Community Legal Service operating throughout the state of Victoria.

The Centre was established in 2008 by the Association of Employees with Disability Inc. (AED) out of a perceived need for specialised advocacy to protect the industrial rights of employees with disability.

Our main objective is to defend the human rights of people with a disability in education or employment and give them access to the justice system through a combination of individual, legal and systemic advocacy.

The centre provides information, education, advice, and legal representation to people with disability who experience discrimination in the areas of education or employment as well as representation to people seeking review of decisions about their NDIS plans.
