Meet our furry friend of the month: Peggy 💕
Peggy accidentally got into 3 pieces of gum containing xylitol — a sugar substitute that is highly toxic to dogs, even in small amounts! 🚨

After a trip to hospital with signs of vomiting, tremors, and pale gums, Peggy’s blood glucose dropped dangerously low. Thankfully, with quick care and monitoring, she stabilised and is now safe at home 🐶✨

⚠️ Reminder for all pet parents: Always check labels on gum, peanut butter, mints, and other products — and keep them well out of reach of curious paws!

This X-ray shows a case of a sprained tail—painful, but thankfully not fractured. Tail injuries can happen from rough play, getting caught in doors, or sudden tugs. If your pet is holding their tail low, flinching when touched, or showing signs of discomfort, it’s time for a vet check! 🩺
