Make the most of your Medicare rebates before the year ends
If you’ve been thinking about starting therapy, now’s a great time to take that step. If your GP says you’re eligible for a Medicare referral, you can claim rebates for up to 10 therapy sessions before 31 December 2025.
Then, from 1 January 2026, if your GP confirms ongoing eligibility, you’ll have access to another 10 rebated sessions for the new calendar year.
Already have a referral? If you haven’t used all 10 of your rebatable sessions, this is the perfect time to book them in before the year wraps up. Just remember that unused sessions don’t roll over into the new year, so it’s worth making the most of what’s available now.
Medicare can be confusing at times, but we hope this helps clear things up as we head toward the end of the year.
