My Health Zest Get in touch!! I want to give something nourishing to the world, in the form of nutritional science and education.

I aim to build CAPACITY in NDIS participants (and others) so that my clients can develop the skills to plan, source, prepare and serve meals that they love, and which nourish our bodies. They say that writing is one of the best ways to learn, and I hope that my work will inspire people to get excited about healthy food.

So much music!! (So little time). . . hehe. . . 🎼🎺πŸͺ˜ In other news I almost doubled my PB at the gym today!!

I ran 1.89 km, which doesn't sound like a lot, but I had only been running a km previously, so it felt like some progress. And yes, the stories are true! A runner's high is the sweet blishhh, , , such a wonderful reward from all that sweat!

Hope you are all doing well!

It was a beautiful day in Melbourne, , , and I am happy because I think my recovery is almost complete!!

I can tell because all my little health habits and routines are getting back into place. .. but GUESS WHAT!? They are better... it sure is nice to get a sparkly new perspective. Yay for friends!!

Something has definitely shifted, , , !!
And today I returned to the gym, which made me happy. :-)

Are you still eating the classic cereal, fruit and yoghurt for breakfast?

The problem with that particular style of breakfast is that it is mostly a combination of different types of sugars. And it will lead to a large spike in your blood sugar.

I plan to talk about why blood sugar spikes are particularly bad for your health some other time, but if you are already aware of the dangers of repeated blood sugar spikes (and crashes), then you might want to switch to a savoury breakfast.
